Well, you've read the notes, thus it is now time for you to post until the cows come home - thus those confounded cows will be coming home very soon.

Scents and perfumes etc = allergies (a Paul Simon reference).
They all need to be subtle enough for me not to notice!

Welcome six GUESTS.  How can we have six GUESTS and, aside from tomovoz and myself, nothing but a bunch of WUSSBURGERS?

My current favorite perfume is called Very Irresistible by Givenchy.  I've worn the same cologne for close to twenty-five years - Jovan Musk Oil.

lovely bear picture, DR TOMovOZ....and you know of course that one of Mr Curtis' co-stars in THE PURPLE MASK was Miss Allison Hayes, playing one of the models in the dress shop owned by Angela Lansbury....Allison came close to losing her head, but was saved in the last moments, by The Purple Mask!

I liked Mr Curtis a lot, too....when HE was younger.

Hmmmm.....I guess I like Cool Water or Grey Flannel best as fragrances, but I don't wear them a lot.  I use the AXE shower gel and that gives me PLENTY of "presence"....  My favorite classic that I continue to buy is CANOE.

From women's perfumes, I don't know anything....I just remember that CHER smelled like bug spray...

DR Ben is catching up on yesterday's posts.

We just finished watching "Lady And The Tramp". It has so much charm.

Goodnight Jack and Ben.

Good morning, all!  I shall be E&T tomorrow and Wednesday; I will be looking at Victor Herbert scores in the Music Division of The Library of Congress.  This morning I need to stop by the office for my notes on what we need, stop at the bank and post office, and enjoy the rest of the day.

TOD:  Cologne; my dear college chum Gary Holt teaches at the Cologne Conservatory in Deutschland.

Givenchy for men. Either the Blue or the Red. I used to like the PYE (Math symbol and not spelled out) but the former has a more subtler fragence with my body chemistry.

TOD:

The cologne I most often wear is Gray Flannel.  It's not my particular favorite scent, but I get complimented a lot when I wear it and you have to give the people what they want so there it is.  Otherwise, I like Burberry for men (though I don't know if they make it anymore) and Hugo Boss.

I have a bottle of Hai Karate, but I'm very careful how I use it.

On women, I like Poem and something by Yves Saint Laurent--I think it's called Yvesse but it used to be called something else.  Years back I like Obsession until this woman I once worked with practically bathed herself with it every day.

I awoke at 5:45 a.m. and knew I would not be able to sleep one minute longer.

Another "recurring" dream last night...over and over...in variations but always, ultimately, the same.

Not one iota of crinkum-crankum to challenge my sleeping mind.

In the days of old when colognes didn't send me into allergy sensitivity HELL, I was very very fond of a couple of the "Nine Flags" fragrances.

A particular favorite was "Aromatic Tabac" from Brazil.

There is a chance that we may actually begin drying out this week...the sun might come out today instead of tomorrow...and warmer temps are promised (now that I have more fire logs laid in).

BK, if you want to gall said person at said record label.  You could always just go to the show at the Gardenia on your own dime.  That would probably annoy said person no end.

Is this said person a Gaul?

If so, I say GALL the GAUL!

He could, after all, have some Gaul in him...we already know he has some gall.

Good morning!

We leave summer behind just a bit today with a cooler day, but still very beautiful. It's not supposed to get to 80 today, and I'm hoping that's the case. It was near 90 the last three days.

I'm at work now.

The roads were fairly bereft of the usual traffic.

It feels like some folks are celebrating a holiday today.

That's okay with me.  I can use the road space.

My local Shell station continues to sell "regular" for under $3/gal.  It's $2.99 9/10ths/gal this morning.

That's so much more appealing than an even $3...don't you agree?

I have two favorite colognes. One is the frequently mentioned Gray Flannel. The other is CK One which is probably my favorite right now.

I was given a bottle of Hawaiian Surf many years ago for Christmas, and I've always thought it smelled so fresh and fun. Alas, there is about a tablespoon full of it left in that bottle after all these years, and I've never seen it again. (Came in a cork covered bottle).

The scents that I can't stand to smell on anyone now: Obsession (which is just so heavy and overpowering) and British Sterling which gags me.
