I've caught up on all of yesterday's posts. And now...time for bed. But later this morning, I want to go in to work to make up some time for taking off yesterday. After that, I have to usher for the Masterworks Choral Ensemble's (a very good local community choir) evening of Andrew Lloyd Webber music. I don't doubt that there will be a good crowd and it'll be a good show.

Good morning, all! I slept very late this morning for no particular reason other than that I could. I need to examine holiday music today for smething to arrange for the December Men's Chorus concert, and my desk needs a good cleaning. I've also got to read this script for the musical theatre festival. Tonight I'm seeing a 15-minute musical by my friends Curtis and Tom, which is part of the Ensemble Studio Theatre's one-act marathon.

Good Morning!

I got up early(!) today thinking I was going to do something... Alas, I did not end up doing said something... Instead, I went to Whole Foods - it's amazing how empty and quiet(!) that place is at 8:10 on a Saturday morning... I breakfasted on croissants and cafe au lait... Well, not really - I really just love that poem/lyric... Instead, I gathered some food from the Breakfast Hot Bar - bacon, sausage, cheese grits, etc. - then settled down in the cafe seating area and watched everyone else doing their morning things... The gentleman behind me was marking up some music, well, at least writing in some new chord symbols for some transpositions... A woman was going over her aria for some audition or lesson she has later this morning - I believe it was Mozart from the looks of the patterns on the page... A gay couple (men) were doting over their baby girl... And the gentleman down a few tables from me just kept spinning his empty coffee cup and looking at the wall as if is he was trying to read it...

After I was done eating, I headed back to the bakery section where I picked up an assortment of bagels and some croissants, and those are now sitting in a pretty tray on the kitchen table waiting for the rest of the apartment to wake up. -I guess I should start the coffee brewing soon...

Other than that, it's been a good morning so far, and I suspect I'll be taking a nap sometime this afternoon.

And, now, I must catch up on the posts from last night, and today's Notes. -Yes, I posted before I read... bitch-slap me!

I'm excited about all of the vendors- it looks like a lot of fun clothes, accessories, and crafty items. I am hoping to gather some inspiration to return to doing a lot of crafts and sewing myself. In honor of the day I am wearing a sundress that I just completed.

I finshed that Hollywood Screen Test disc this morning. Interesting that JoAnne Worley and Peg Murray tested for Ernestina Semple in HELLO DOLLY, and Sandy Duncan tested for Minnie Faye, also. Ron Rifkin tested for Ambrose, too. I might have picked Sandy over E.J. Peaker as Minnie Faye. In the other cases, I think the folks they went with for those film roles were appropriate.
