I left that disc in the player since it has the Spanish version of the lost CHAN feature CHARLIE CHAN CARRIES ON. I will watch it tonight.

I meant to mention that CHARLIE CHAN IN SHAGNHAI was grainy and had a goodly number of scratches running down the right hand side of the frame, but who cares when we now at long last have the first in hopefully Fox's succession of boxes featuring the great detective. Delighted to have these at last!

I like Bernadette Peters very much, but she was miserably bad on WILL & GRACE. Of course, the writing of that particular episode was among the worst of any episode that I can remember, so it wasn't really Bernadette's fault.

Ahh...that's right.  I actually saw part of that episode. :P

George, Mr. Strickland and Mr. Collins were also on the Today Show this morning; although most of it was just Mr. Collins in concert.

The first week or so after I got out of the hospital, I didn't even turn on the television under the afternoon news.  Now, I have become a big fan of the Ellen Show, I watch The View, the Today Show, and Regis and Kelly; and I have even started checking out DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

It is time to go back to work.

This will have to be a very quick hi and bye.  It takes me so long to catch up on my reading that by the time I get where I can post I'm almost to my bus stop!

I will try to post when I get home.

Till then,

Laters all!

Vibes to those who need them!

Glad to hear the hip is getting better.... Maybe I am confused but I do recall that you were going to take us lovely ladies out dancing when you were all recovered?

Well, I didn't dance before the surgery (except on stage); so I would say the possibility of dancing, post-surgery, would be nill.

It's gotten very dark outside in the last ten minutes. The thundershowers we've had this afternoon have all been of the "rainging while the sun is shining" variety. I think we're in for a BIG downpour in a few minutes.

Off to do cleaning chores for today and the settle in for more TV.

I suspect I'll start back with the Billy Wilder interviews before going on to that CHARLIE CHAN CARRIES ON film.

Hmmmmm....I'm going to be reading subtitles with both of those. Such is life!

Ginny, we forgot to take a photo.  The new girlfriend is a fun upbeat gal.  We enjoyed meeting her.

Cillalliz- Our similar cat was named My Sin after several people commented her eyes had the same expression as the cat in the perfume commercials.  She too was a great cat, very protective of the children when they were babies.

Now that Bryan & his friend have left I need to exercise & go for a walk.  All I did this morning was eat.  I really should have gone early this morning while they were sleeping.  It is a bit warm out not, still much better that the predicted 90 degrees.  Tomorrow temps are expected to reach 100 degrees.

Bootsie did well at the vet. She wanted me to hold her for awhile (there was a dog emergency so it took a little while) then she curled up and went to sleep!

Her blood tests were all good.  She has no fleas only ear mites.  So she's there for the weekend and Mon after surgery she'll come home.

She is about 7 months old and weighs 5.3 pounds. Just a little pip squeek.

DR Ginny, there is no question - she adopted me. I had very little to say about it, just to give in and say ok.

Cillaliz, that is great.  It sounds like she really needed you and it seems like things happened the way they were supposed to.  It's also nice that as a by-product of this adventure you've gotten to know your neighbors better.  And as others have pointed out similarities with cats they've owned, Bootsie also resembles Killbot.

Today I attended the graduation and moving up ceremony at the school I used to intern at.  It was a wonderful presentation and each of the classes presented a song.  I was only able to see 2 of the 4 kids I worked with as one was hospitalized and another is in a crisis residence :(.

But it was good to pay the place a visit and catch up with my former co-workers.  I attended with a group of other former interns with whom I became close (it's amazing how close 4 girls can get when they share a tiny office).  After the ceremony we had lunch together and visited two of their apartments.  Later on I met up with Rodzinski in Union Square for a bite to eat and now we are relaxing at home.

I'm taking part in a few pride events this weekend.  Tomorrow night I'm attending a special performance of a friend and former co-worker's partner's cabaret show.  And then I'll be marching with GMHC in the parade on Sunday.
