Ok, I gave in.....when the men came to mow my lawn this morning I stepped outside to greet them and "the cat" came running up the stairs and made a bee line straight for me wanting me to pick her up.

The little girls across the street had named "The Cat"   Bootsie.   When I was growing up there were 2 cats in our neighborhood. One was Callie and another was Bootsie - so Bootsie she'll stay. The girl next door who's about 5 or 6 said "Well, I think Bootsie is her REAL name"  How can I mess with that.

Bootsie goes to the vet in about a half hour. They'll be keeping her for the weekend. She'll get her shots, defleaed, i think she has ear mites so they'll take care of that, test her for feline leukemia - the whole shebang.
On Monday morning she'll be spayed and late Monday afternoon she'll be home to stay.

I had a cat that looked just liked that when I was little and his name was indeed Bootsie!

In my VCR:  a tape to tape this morning's "The View."  Phil Collins and Josh...whatever his last name is...from Tarzan are going to be on it.

In my DVD player:  a couple of Netflix movies and "South Pacific In Concert."

In my CD player at work:  I'm not there yet, but suffice it to say that The Manhattan Transfer's brand new CD, "The Symphony Sessions" (which was only released in Japan) will be there. ;D

Well, I must be off.  I have to get gas this morning because I have to take my niece and her friend to the Seattle Storm women's basketball game in Seattle (and I just went to a game the day before yesterday!).  Later!

DR Cillaliz - who adopted whom?  You and Bootsie seem destined for each other.  And you have your little neighbors to help you look after her!

That's the thing. I don't know about the deer, but the woman and the doll are BOTH Marcy. The doll is called Little Marcy. The woman's real name is Marcy Tigner.

I got an envelope today from the Beverly Hills Law Offices of Lowell Steiger, 8388 Wislhire Blvd....

Didn't know what it could be.

Turns out to be:

The two Will Young CD's that I won on EBAY last week.  I guess Lowell Steiger Esq, was tired of Mr Young's voice.

With Telly Savalas as the nasty stepfather!I was a 5 when I saw that... I never asked for a talking doll !!!!

SPOILERS!!!!!

Erich Streator’s stepdaughter Christie brings home an unusual doll named Talking Tina that is programmed to say "My name is Talking Tina and I love you very much." However, because Erich is mean to his stepdaughter, the doll says other things to him starting with "I don't think I like you" and ending with “I’m going to kill you.” Erich's wife, Annabelle, is aware that Erich does not like Christie because she reminds him that he is infertile. He is still angry with Annabelle for not revealing Christie's existence until just before their marriage. Erich tries various ways to get rid of the doll, but succeeds only in alienating Annabelle, who doesn't believe his story that the doll is evil. The doll finally gets its revenge when Erich trips on it, causing him to fall down the stairs and die. After Erich's death, Annabelle picks up the doll and looks at it suspiciously. The doll then says to Annabelle, "my name is Talking Tina, and you better be nice to me

Well, I think if my stepdaughter kept reminding me that I was infertile, I would probably be mean to her, too.  The little beyotch!

Just 7-10pm, DR DakotaCelt.  If it's not pouring rain, I'll go to Caesar Creek State Park in the afternoon to listen to my DH's shape-note singing group.

Still having some minor computer weirdnesses - AOL was being peculiar, so my guy talked me through getting it fixed - now it's fine except that all my old and sent mail has disappeared.  We're hoping that since that stuff is archived on AOL itself that it will just show up at some point today - if not, it's all saved on my external hard drive so we're protected that way.  Had some Airport wireless issues that seem to have fixed themselves now, so that's good.  I guess there will be little bugs to work out for a while.
