As for the Topic of the Day:
Ones I've seen and loved:
Merrily We Roll Along - I did not see the original Broadway production, but I did a professional production of the original version/script. I laughed, I cried... I cried some more. ;-)
Chess - I loved the trio of leads: David Carroll, Judy Kuhn, and Philip Casnoff. And that car chase in the parking garage was very cool.
Big - ...And I have to state that I did not like the subsequent revised tour version of the show. At all!
And since it's considered a flop in some circles:
Passion. *I saw it five times, including Opening and Closing Night.
Flops I've seen but did not like:
Shogun - "Hey, I have an idea! Let's combine all the best elements from
Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and
Chess and set the story in Japan..." The first time I honestly felt embarrassed for the actors on stage.
Martin Guerre - Some nice moments scattered amongst a lot of filler. -And, please, a villain should not have a bad wig
and a lisp.
In My Life - Well, I liked it... But for all the wrong reasons.

Flops I'm still undecided on:
Lestat
