Didn't make it to visit my folks today, although I did get to see them for a little while last night before joining Tom, Colin and Larry.

Well, it sounds like you will have a great deal to atone for.

Good afternoon Esteemed and almopst-ready-to-travel BK --

Good wishes and vibes for a safe flight are sent your way.  I hope that the airport security hassles have calmed down a little more by now.   When I last flew (the 21st of August) it was an overseas flight to the UK, and security was absolute ca-ca !

Really enjoyed watching FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE again. For mono sound on that DVD release, it's very robust.

Next I put in the GREY'S ANATOMY Season 2 set. I watched the season premiere episode (which I had seen before), and then the second episode started, and I realized I hadn't seen it. ABC jumped around all summer showing episodes out of order from both seasons, and this was one they never repeated this summer (when I started watching the show), so I'll look forward to watching it when I start back up with TV tonight. There's nothing on TV I particularly want to watch, so I'll be DVDing it tonight.

I thought that was the "European style intimacy" they were referring to on their list of a-men-ities.

I'm HDTV shopping again!

No, not for me. My friend Jeff gave me the go-ahead to find a TV for him. His parents are giving it to him for Christmas, and they want him to get it now since they'll be visiting in a couple of weeks, and Jeff wants to have the TV ready for them to watch when they arrive.

I have the dimensions and the money restrictions, and after careful searching this morning, I found what we're going to look at. I'm pretty sure it will suit his needs perfectly.

DR Matt---I have the sense that you are a TV connoisseur. Do you every watch "The Closer"? (I work on it, but don't be afraid to say if you hate it!)

I think it's safe to say that most DRs on this site who watch it are very big fans of THE CLOSER!

George, I just have a small Sony digital that fits in my pocket. I just get lucky. The dragonflies and damselflies are so small that most of the time my camera doesn't even focus on them.

I was about 15 feet away from the rattlesnake.  A foot or so from the butterflies.

If you do a search on the site, you'll see I'm a HUGE fan of THE CLOSER. Absolutely adore it; have watched the first season DVD set through three times in addition to seeing the show on TNT in high definition. A superb show, as good as anything that is currently being broadcast.

I got a package in the mail today, all the way from Paris, France - where the ladies wear no..... Oh, never mind.

Thank you, François, you have managed to rekindle a very special memory of my childhood and of my Mother.
