Must head off to work.

Must heat up that leg tonight.

Must get garlic!!!

Yum!
I'm back from work, my leg is in the oven, and all is well in the world!

Lots of garlic and rosemary inserted in slits throughout the leg of lamb.  The leg should take two and a half, up to three hours to roast.

Meanwhile, I'll be heating up the second oven (nice to have two) in a bit to roast the veg - red bliss taters, anise, red onion, carrots, all to be drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with parsley and grated parmesan.

Oh, yes, very yum!

Welcome to new DR CASON from PLANET X.

The pictures are great.  We are just closing up shoppe at Ye Olde World of Wisdom....and then my computer at home goes in the shop.

I shall see you on the flip side

Loved the review and of course DR MBARNUM's comments as well.  I am sure Allison would have been pleased as well.

DR MATTH - what I got from the dialog in SUPERMAN RETURNS is that Lois was NOT married to her lover...they had delayed getting married, so that it wasn't actually a breaking up a marriage type Superman.....

DS Rob and I have finished setting up the Christmas tree, which is pre-wired with white lights.  We also added 2 strands of colored lights and I'm taking a rest before putting on the ornaments.

I went to a party last night at Barbara Bosson's house - remember her from LA LAW and Hill Street Blues? The house is quite spectacular, and of course we sang! First caroling of the season. how nice that was. Her little grandson awoke from his nap and toddled around greeting the folks. And a delicious little white poodle made the rounds. I had a swell time. Ran into a woman with whom I had a "falling out" twenty years ago - we had been very close, but we haven't spoken since... by the end of the evening we had exchanged emails and phone numbers. And time rolls on...

I was just thinking of Ms. Bosson a couple days ago. So odd!

Great to hear about the show. I tried to send my sis to yesterday's, but her flight time didn't allow it.

Glad I checked on my leg early, because the internal temp was already where it should be for medium rare - the way we like it.  It's resting now.

Meanwhile, I've got my veg roasting.  Dang, but I thought I had carrots on hand, and I don't!  But we've got plenty of taters, and the onion, and I've never roasted anise before (also known as fennel), but I'm sure looking forward to giving it a try.

I can smell the anise on my hands!  I'm getting hongry!!!   :D :D :D

I have now drunk my Starbucks and walked several blocks of Hollywood Blvd smiling at passersby and making new friends!

Ahhh....are you quite sure you want to be doing that?? Perhaps Hollywood Blvd has changed... :)

MBarnum, do you think the people who smiled at you thought you were somebody famous - or someone who should be famous?

They probably thought I was nuts.

Just seeing those photos makes me smile.

I wish I had had the opportunity to let Alet know how much I enjoyed her, but for some reason I never got over to chat with her after opening night.

I have just returned from Amoeba Music where I purchased only 1 DVD (the region 2 DVD of Allison Haye's THE UNDEAD) and an ungoshly amount of CDs ranging from The King Sisters (since I met one of them the other night...didn't realize they went all the way back to the 1930s!!) and Tony Martin to some Bollywood ('natch) and assorted Egyptian pop singers I have never heard of but who were quite handsome and so I have no doubt they are fine singers. It always just seems to work out that way with Egyptian pop singers. Go figure.

Happy B'Day, MBarnum!

BK, pics look great.  Alet looks yummy!  My only question...does the cast really need those distracting mics sloping around their jaws and chins.  God, do I hate to see this practice becomes standard.  Part of being an actor and a singer is being able to hit the back wall.  I can understand a few strategically placed mics around the stage, but I detest visible body mics.  Tell me, when you were doing your musicals on that same stage years ago did you need those kind of mics?
