eBay does it again - remember the other day when I asked about songs that had been made from commercial jingles - and I mentioned It Won't Hurt To Try It, which my pal Michael Burns had recorded?  I have that 45 somewhere, but who knows where - so I got a copy on eBay for 1.00 - sung by - wait for it - Jim Nabors.  Just played it - it's really pretty, very Burt Bacharach-sounding, with a nice chart by Al Capps.

Michael Burns was a sort of "hero" for me during those years when he was on the short-lived "It's A Man's World" with Glenn Corbett and Randy Boone, and later on "Wagon Train."

It was cool when I could see kids my age in grown-up shows, holding their own and being a big part of the show.

I confess that it does lack some of the appeal of the Daniel Radcliffe pix you posted.

I've gone about as fer as I can go with the post office - right up to the top - consumer affairs and the postal inspector.  They are not happy about what I told them and attitudes and lies - and they are now doing an internal investigation of the woman at the post office branch who was uppity with me, and they are putting a tracer on the two packages and will try to retrieve them.  With the eBay CD, I'm out of luck with both seller and paypal because it shows as delivered even though it wasn't delivered to ME.  It's not much money but it's the principal of the thing.

I would hope that if that's the case, this would've been caught and taken care of a long time ago. :-\

Well - I finally found the final two segment of "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?"  It's here.

If you scroll down the list on the right you can also see the finale where Maria is chosen!!   ;D

Interesting, but I am still P.O.'d that the musical director can't get either of them to sing:

"....the sound of music.."  instead of "...the soun dove music...."
GRRRRRRRRRRRRR drives me bats.  Only thing worse for me is:

"Beaudeeee and the beast..............."  :P

I went to see Epic Movie with a friend at the Grove today because we love and have seen all the movies they made fun of. We left half and hour into the movie because it was lewd, stupid, and worst of all not funny.

We then procedded to sit at lunch and make our own jokes up about the movies which were loads funnier.

I love THE SPIRAL STAIRCASE.  I believe it was the first time I saw Ethel Barrymore.

I'm certain TCB will be surprised I didn't see her onstage in CAPTAIN JINKS OF THE HORSE MARINES.
