OK--I think I've solved my "Brain" teasers for the night and will go meet my DH for dinner!

Off to the gym, then to a dairy
Shop for the quints
And on a whim, eat something scary
Maybe a blintz

Does anyone - still eat - a blintz?

They make me wince

(Does wince rhyme with blintz?  :) )

Not to beat this dead horse any longer than necessary but it is a birthday hint (for tomorrow), just not for mine.

Gees, I have been. That's the only thing I've said in weeks that wasn't work related.  It's ok, this just sealed the decision

I found that it helps to feel the office gossips little innocuous things. Otherwise they think you're not quite normal. (Well, maybe in my case...)

I am quite exhausted. I think I shall venture down to the kitchen, since I haven't really eaten dinner and then see if there is anything on TV

Oh, God, she's back on tv!

Who is this woman? She's got dear Elmore all hot and bothered. See what I miss by not watching TV?

(Someone clearly has too much time on my hands :) )

Another long engrossing play
A drama by Lynn Nottage
Ricotta cheese from overseas
Perhaps we'll just use cottage
Iiiiiiiii'll pass on that

And one for cottage

So here's to the crepes made by Jews
Everybody fries
Ask me where they wind up, I'll give you the news
Everybody's thighs

A dish to give you reason to shmooze
You slice it, watch it slither and ooze
Let's hear it for the crepes made by Jews
Everybody sighs
Everybody sighs
Sighs
Sighs
Sighs
Sighs

Sighs!

Just in case anyone is really looking at HHW archives years from now, i figured I had to change that unintentional dig at Lynn Nottage.  I love her work, she just happens to rhyme with "cottage."

I finished MOVE OVER DARLING. Just as cute and funny and endearing as ever. Of the two films she made with James Garner, I like THE THRILL OF IT ALL more, but MOVE OVER DARLING is funny, and Edgar Buchanan is hilarious as the befuddled judge.

After I finished MOVE OVER DARLING, I watched all of the featurettes on the DVD. This included a "making of" short, a Doris vs. Marilyn short, and a (brief) conversation with Polly Bergen. Nice but none of them exceptional - mostly talking heads, and since they have to reference MY FAVORITE WIFE so much but didn't want to pay for any use of clips, we get an abundance of clips from SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE and MOVE OVER DARLING.

I was so greatly anticipating a new episode of BONES tonight that I put in the season 1 BONES DVD and watched the episode about the kidnapped little boy whose mother was burned to death in a car.

And I certainly was not disappointed with tonight's BONES episode, a grisly, riveting chase of escaped serial killer (and recurring nemesis for Brennan) Howard Epps. Several close escapes for our heroes and leaving Booth in bad psychological shape.

One of the best episodes of this new season of the show.

Another tedious night with IDOL. In LA, more than 40 people were put through to the next round, but we only saw about four of them. The rest were the weird, crazy, and deluded (and one rather elderly man who had made a promise to his dying lady friend that he'd try to get one and sing to her. Sad to say, she died of cancer two days before audition day.) Had they had IDOL forty years ago, he surely would have qualified. He had a very good crooner's voice.
