So....DR Jose.....don't know if you've covered this before or not (sometimes, I just "don't" catch up the way I should):

Will you, by any chance, be performing in "Sweeney Todd" in any venue?

Alas, at this point and time, probably not.

However, I may be performing in another show sometime soon... If I get the follow-up phone call this afternoon.

Thanks for asking.  -I was just amazed and happy to have been called in.  Again.  :)

Here, in full, is the review of the Brain CD that just appeared on talkinbroadway's All That Chat:

There are other references to various characters' sex lives (or, mostly, the lack thereof) that are endearing more than leering, so The Brain from Planet X is only rated "X" for X-tremely funny.

Very nice review, indeed, Bruce. I especially liked the "X-tremely funny" part; why didn't I think of that? :)

But Jrand, do you have the Bay Cities Joanie album?  The second CD I produced, the first being the Baja Marimbas.

Lost SPOILERS

RE: Last night's "Lost"

I liked last night's show, but I had to wonder what the big deal was - well, at least whatever they were hinting at in all the promos?  Were they just referring to the last 5 minutes?  Or were they referring to what came before that?

And as for the "new attractive couple"... Me likey him a lot.  ;)

Since i don't watch the promos anymore (if i can help it), what did they show?

I know a lot of promos are misleading. And i remember reading last week or the week before on the message boards that people were furious with the promos (they had promoted that a bunch of things would be revealed and then it was lame).

Hmmm, i just checked out abc.com and i guess UGLY BETTY is a repeat.  I wonder if they just changed that since my tv guide has it as being new.

I still don't know what an orchestator does...other then yell at his guests when they arrive at his home environment late.

I will take the serious side of this, DR MBARNUM. Leonard Bernstein's Young People's Concerts, so praised here, deals with orchestration in the third concert/lecture. Frankly, I think that's a bit ambitious for the 7- to 15-year-olds that comprise the audience, but it's all ambitious--and all wonderful. In one hour LB gives you an overview of orchestration. Netflix, disc 1. I'm loving it.

As for the temperament of said orchestrator, well, you two can work that out between yourselves.

I think Jose and MusicGuy should open a tour company. When they are not providing their guests with tours of far-flung European locales, they can butter their toast for the guests and then play them music  ;)

Yes! A musical tour!

Well, I guess I could add a musical component to my Walking and Eating and Walking and Eating Tours.  -It would be very easy to pop into Steinway Hall, and sit down at a grand or two.

THAT...or, you could send parts in advance, have the visitors learn their songs.  Then, you could spend an evening before the tour rehearsing everyone to perform a cappella.

Then...you could lead the tour and every now and again stop and sing an appropriate song at some spot on the tour...something that was sung at that location in a movie or on Broadway.

I forgot to mention backgammon. My brother's first wife and I used to play backgammon by the hour. Since they divorced, I don't think I've played a single game of it.

Idol, of course....I was speaking about ABC and the CW, all my listings say they're repeats.  I don't watch NBC on Thursdays anymore, so I can't speak about that schedule.

CBS is all new...and..."Idol" naturally....but I won't watch that.  I'lll tape it for later.

I don't know.  What's the title?  I have several in storage.  I've probably read it....but maybe not.

What do the cards say?

I thought of another game that I absolutely adored as a kid - Disneyland. I went to a birthday party where the child being feted was given this game as a gift, and after it was opened, several of us played it for the first time. I fell so much in love with the game that I couldn't rest until my folks got me one for us to play. I REALLY loved that game.

So... I think that answered your question, and it may have confused you too.  But it's a start.  Hopefully.

:)

Thank yee, sir.  You've given me enough info to at least want to try the Finale demo, which I will download and install tonight.
