And Topic of the Day - Part Deux
I had a sweat shirt from a high school/community theatre production I music directed of "Fame: The Musical". First of all, the show itself is not exactly the greatest work of art - and not even the good-est work of art. Secondly, the logo the company came up with for the show was, to put it in a word, ugly. And sort of questionable: it was a drawing of a teenage girl wearing short-shorts and a t-shirt.

In any case...
At closing night, the cast gave me a hooded sweatshirt that they had all signed for me. I never wore it. And whenever I would do the occasional clothing purge, I would want to throw it out - since I wasn't going to wear it - but then I would have this fear that someone would be digging through my garbage - which happened a lot in Richmond - and I'd end up seeing someone on the street wearing it. (Was that enough of a run-on sentence for you?) And I didn't want to see anyone else wearing it, especially since my name was on it ("You rock, Jose!", "Jose, you the Man!", etc.). People would know that it originally belonged to me!
Well, I eventually got over that "fear", and threw it out. But not before cutting it in half, and wrapping it up in multiple plastic bags.
