TOO MANY WORDS
« on: March 06, 2007, 12:15:09 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had too many words, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently discussing just how many words I've used talking about them and their errant and truant behavior.

TOD: I have a hard time getting rid of t-shirts. I try to keep at least one that represents every place I went to school and so forth. I have a bunch of shoes I never wear that I should get rid of.

I have many old, old t-shirts - original Nudie Musical t-shirts from the time of release, t-shirts from all my shows, including Stages and Together Again.

I have several t-shirts that I got from BC/EFA in the early 1990s that have the autographs of Tony Award nominees.  Sadly, they're not actual autographs...the signatures are printed on the shirt.

I only have one t-shirt with an actual autograph.  Kate Shindle, while she was still Miss America, came to Olympia and promoted the Thurston County AIDS Walk.  A bunch of us in "Babes With Big Hair: An AIDS Benefit Revue" did the walk, also.  I took her picture with a few of the cast members and she autographed my TCAW t-shirt, which I still have. :)

Twinky is not to be confused with The Twonky.

I <heart> The Twonky and other Lewis Padgett stories.

I am the same way. I should just take a picture of them and put them in a scrapbook because I know they will never fit again. My shirts are usually involving events I've been to, like film festivals or concerts. I also can't get rid of t-shirts from places I worked.

Many of the festival shirts list all the invited films on the back, so those are really hard to give up.

The one pair of shoes I've held on to for decades, even though they are worn out beyond wearing and wouldn't fit, anyway, are my Peter Max tennis shoes.

For my birthday whien I was in high school, I asked my mother to make me a cape. Who knows why? It was black fabric with a slight  fur texture and lined with red satin. I wore it a surprisng amount, even in college! Later, it was handy for Halloween. Still got it!

I also can't give up the two H.S. chorus dresses my mother made for me. Double-knit fabric...ugly dresses that I can't seem to give up. No one would ever buy them at a consignment store or even Goodwill and they would probably get thrown out, which I couldn't bear the thought of, because...

my mother made them, with love. Argh.

How do people get rid of stuff like that? I really need to do some purging if we're ever going to move!

I have a coat of my mom's that I loved as a child. I will never wear it but I can't give it up, even though it is a heavy fake fur coat.

I guess that since I'm a military brat, I have a hard time getting rid of items with sentimental value, because we had to dump so much stuff when we moved that I have hardly anything from my childhood.

Maybe when Jose is here I will get some tips on purging stuff.

I still have my School Cap (How very British) and tie from High School.  Both were purchased when I started High School in 1958.

Good morning, all!  One thing about rising at 5:00 AM: no phone calls or too many distractions.  My physical exam is at 9:30 so I have a little more than three hours to work, then off to the sound mix, and back to continue on these band parts!

We've been up a little while.  It's Skip's second day of jury duty.  I think the whole process is only two days unless you're chosen for a case or in the middle of a voir dire at the end of the day.

I doubt it - DR Jose is hardly anorexic.
