. feel almost back to normal this morning.  (Whew!)  -And now that I think of it, with all the A/C in the hotel in Atlanta, it had to be one of the driest hotels I've ever stayed in.  I tended to wake up every morning quite parched.

Parched in Atlanta, eh!

Imagine how the natives felt after Sherman marched through!

**FEEL BETTER** vibes to DR Ron Pulliam

Many thanks.

What is it about warm weather, when the air is loaded with pollen, that brings out the worst in cologne and perfume application?

There are some folks here who seemingly poured a bottle of whatever they had all over their bodies.

You cannot escape it.

I may have to go home to make a point.

I won the Festival of Emerging American Playwrights competition in May, 1985.  The play is titled "My Hand Is Not My Heart".

I received $500 from the theatre that was producing it.  In two checks of $250.

When I got the first one in June - I went to HH GREGG and bought a lovely new Sylvania VCR with a remote on a cord.

It was wonderful to be able to program my own schedule.  One of the first videos I purchased was ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN which I just happened to see at a video store....original price $39.95 marked down to $19.95.  I still have said KEY Video.

Perfume usually doesn't bother me - with one exception:

CHER - which smelled like bug spray to me!

Yes, Betty's passing was finally picked up by the mainstream press.

It seems she wanted it announced at a specific time by a specific person, her executor Carlos...and he will do so this afternoon.

The three Sondheim-written reviews are all positive, with a couple of caveats.  He clearly loves Hitchcock.

TOD:

I took over the payments a friend's VCR...$400...this was around 1986 or so.

First movie I purchased was BRIDE OF THE GORILLA starring Miss Barbara Payton. We sold it at Bi-Mart, where I worked at the time.

We had loads of vhs tapes until we moved to hollywood 4 years ago, where we replaced most with dvd or just got rid of movies we no longer liked.

I always thought of BRIDE OF THE GORILLA as a Raymond Burr movie, but I guess that would look funny on the marquee:

Raymond Burr - Bride of the Gorilla

The plural of proboscis is proboscises, not probosci.

Isn't that silly?

Another synonym for proboscis is a brody.

What say you, bk?  Does she need to be strung up by her thumbs, too?

Yes, she needs to be strung up by her thumbs.  And to be clear (as much as I can be clear when I'm clearly dazed and confused), I don't mind the time change when it occurs in April.  I mind it occuring a month early.

That is clear!  Though technically, isn't it just 2 weeks early?  I think the total extension is one month; 2 weeks on either end of the original period.

I have no meetings or chairsides scheduled for this afternoon; therefore, my luncheon salad shall contain a plethora of raw red onion.

I'm just sayin'.

The context of the word "proboscis" that I used with the girls is that it is a butterfly's tongue.

LOL

I suppose if you want to keep chinchy bassas away on any given day, you could eat the same thing.

DR DearReaderLaura-

Do you [or a neighbor] have a butterfly garden planted, or are your photos just the result of happy circumstance?  :)

I am trying to get one started; I have planted lots of stuff the last couple of weeks, hoping that something will grow.

The photos from yesterday were from the butterfly exhibit at the botanical garden. But I have lots of stuff that should bring butterflies to my yard. I had some success last fall by planting passionvine for the caterpillars. I have a chrysalis now that should be emerging soon.

I also go to the arboretum and other hiking and bore these kind folks with my photos. They are all very good sports about it. I don't go to the movies, so I have little else to contribute.
