DHL has been trying to contact the driver for over an hour

I could write volumes about the bad experiences I've had with UPS and Fed-EX. They really drive me insane.

And one for Mailer, the U.S. variety. They're still pretty reliable.

Now I'm at NoPo. The DVD-r has been adjusted by the manager to compress the Brain (ouch) a bit, so it will fit on one disc and I should be able to send the DVDs and digis out tomorrow. Yay!

I don't plan to use DSL, however...

Decisions, decisions!

It's EASY! If you'd rather see another film, buy a ticket to ours and then go to see the other film. Chances are the makers of BABEL and the other films probably aren't funding them out of their own pockets, and the gay-themed films will easily get held over, while ours is less likely.

I'm not proud...

DR Ben, it looks like the NYCLU is promoting Friday's 7-ish screening. I'm not sure what that means but I hope we'll at least have a full house.

As of today, we're certified "fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes". Does that mean we're good, or just new?

If any DR's live near Pasadena, we may be showing at the Laemmle theater there in addition to the Music Hall.  And we're tentatively scheduled to do a sneak preview screening on Tuesday 4/3 at 8 in Pasadena.

Poor Truffle...all alone in the world.

DR der Brucer, you are welcome to stop by anytime.   You and Truffle can have a wild night on the town.

By the way, he squeaks!?

I honestly wonder if i would have recognized him if someone just showed me that picture.  I do like the look though.   But it is SO different!

If you want to see the progression of Elliot Yamin's look - and career - you should check out the "Idol Chatter" columns from The Richmond Times-Dispatch, his hometown paper.  Quite a fun read.

But maybe -- just maybe -- this will be the night that the wispy Sanjaya finally begins to ovulate ! :)

No CDs until tomorrow.  I'm simply going to ship them via faster service and deduct those costs from the bill, and that will be that.  Of course, I have no idea if they WILL get here tomorrow, and if they're not here by two I can't ship them out because I have two back to back work sessions beginning at four.

I've now been on hold with DHL for fifteen minutes, while they try to get my local branch on the line - just had a rather loud converation with the local branch - this supid peckerhead driver has not responded to many, many attempts to contact him since one o'clock this afternoon.  I suggested to them that since this seems to be a recurring problem with this particular driver that they might want to rethink having someone like that as an employee of DHL.  What a loser!  In any case, they are guaranteeing me my package will be to me today - if they don't get it to the mail place by six-thirty then they're delivering it to my house.

Thanks all for your comments.

I made a telephonic purchase last night using my ATM debit card.  The vendor is reputable.

The person who processed my order, though...entered my card number 11 times.  No doubt he was attempting to get an "ok" or some other signal, but he wasn't patient with it.

Today, my account is frozen.  My checking balance is zero on paper, and minus $1,200 or so in total.   My savings account is intact and will cover, but it, too, is frozen...pending receipt of the sales transaction by the bank, who promises to release all funds not actually being paid when the receipt comes in.

#(%*%&#$$(#)#)(*)_(X))(*D)*)FG(*)R)*W)*D)*W)*

Crap-ola.

I tried to sort things out telephonically and the bank agreed to rectify the situation via a telephone call from the vendor.  The vendor agreed to call the bank and sort it out that there should only have been one transaction and not 11.

But that was at 11 a.m.  It is now nearly six hours later...and nothing has changed.
