Yeah, definitely slept in a little -- though seeing as how I got off work this morning at around 7, I'm not doing too bad...

Good question Cason....

btw, I like your quote in your siggie... No truer words spoken. Art does touch people in ways that words can't.

I just watched SHE'S THE MAN, the highschool adaptation of Twelfth Night, by the writers of 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, the highschool adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew.  I think they, and CLUELESS, are wonderful revisions of the original works they're based on and it was a nice way to while away the afternoon.

Medical update:

I have a pinched nerve and I am in constant pain. It has been very difficult to walk and when I do I limp/hbobble along. They are going to set up an MRI for me and I hope there is something they can do for me other than surgery.

The alumni association is an adjunct to the LACC foundation, which is a non-profit organization.  I'm not sure how this was all set up but I know that the alumni group receives it's non-profitness from having checks written to the foundation and hence the foundation disburses the money where the alumni group tells them to.   In all my years of sitting on the board (I've only attended three meetings, because they were so ill run), I have never seen a report of any kind.  Long ago, we used to get minutes of the meetings via mail, but not for ages.  I don't even think they come via e-mail anymore.   I am certain that whatever bylaws there are/were they haven't been adhered to since the beginning.  To invoke them now is a joke.

DS Rob helped me this afternoon to rearrange my study/computer area into a more ergonomic set-up.  He also installed my "new" printer, which is actually the one that came with the MacBook that DH Richard and I bought last summer.  It's pretty nifty - a printer/copier/scanner all in one.

Topic of the Day:

Zeffirelli's The Taming of the Shrew (I also really liked the "Shrew" episode from Moonlighting)

I was most fortunate to see Kiss Me, Kate in London with the World's Sexiest Man Alive (WSMA in HHW lingo), Brent Barrett!

When I was going to Western Washington University, they did a production of The Scottish Play that was incredible...except the guy playing Macduff.  I don't know if he was directed like this or if he was like this in real life, but he walked and sounded EXACTLY like John Wayne!  Everything else was wonderful except this guy...it was really weird.

West Side Story, the movie.  I've only seen one live (pretty good) high school production.

Harlequin Productions, a local semi-professional theater group, here in Olympia, wrote their own musical version of A Rock 'N Roll Twelfth Night[/u].  They've even made two different cast recordings and it's really good...in my humble opinion.

Is is March or April that comes "in like a lion, out like a lamb"?

It's confusing!

Is it a ménagerie or a ménage à Troye?

Well...I must be off.  My sister and my niece are back from Vegas and I told them to get me some keychains!   I also need to stop off at work because I've copied some CDs and made some booklets for them.  I want to cut the booklets on the paper cutter so that they have very straight edges.
