After reading my last post I suspect there are many who want me to go back on E & T status

If it's the badly spelled Shakespeare one, bingo! :-*

Ask DR vixmom to tell you all about how she's prompting her daughter to make crank calls on poor unsuspecting folk.

I'm back from dinner with my dear friend Bruce Pomach of the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization.  We dished, we laughed, all during a lovely meal at 63rd & Ninth Avenue, across from Lincoln Center.  The food was god, the portions generous.

BK, they have macaroni and cheese on the menu.  Also Bruce loved The Brain and praised your writing. He likes your way with the ins and outs of a tune.

I think I may watch the first two episodes of THE TUDORS on Showtime On Demand now.  It's either that or a new DVD of Mozart's Nozze di Figaro.  Decisions, decisions . . .

I think you mean Bruce Pomahac!

Bread and wine then?

Did I really type god for good?  I need a new keyboard.  I think the food between the keys is making my life a mess.

EVen if they are a subsidiary to the Alumni Association, they still have to adhere to the rules that govern non-profits.

I am home!   The flight from Atlanta to Milwaukee was fine. The flight from Milwaukee was a rollercoaster!  We went over and then sort of through what was a pretty bad storm on the ground.  We landed just after it had passed. I didn't hit a storm again until I was almost in Sioux City.

If not, maybe someone can cut and paste it or send it to her via PM, since she may not be looking at the past pages.

Good Evening!

Well, the run-thru went very well.  So well, in fact, that we're having a shorter day of rehearsal tomorrow.  We'll be doing a "straight six" - 10:00am-4:00pm - with a 20 minute break in the middle.  Alas, this means my chances of making it brunch at Chez FJL have been slimmed to almost none.

I just got the rehearsal schedule for tomorrow, and all it says is "10:00am - Full Company", and that's it.  So, I'm guessing we'll be working spots throughout the show, and just kind of free-forming for the day.

*However, since all the music staff will be in attendance tomorrow, there is a small chance I may be able to get away.  But, I really won't know until I'm in rehearsal tomorrow morning whether or not I can get away for an hour or so.  Stay tuned.

Talked to my mom tonight. She's feeling a bit better, but still not 100%.  They did drive most of the day, however and were on their way to dinner when I called so that's a good sign. They were going to stop here tomorrow, but I don't think they will be that far by then, so I may print off my tickets and go see Obama

Thanks for all the travel vibes, I think it helped us through those rollercoaster moments, although loving rollercoasters as I do, it was rather fun

DR Miss Karen - Ahem!  Since your "HHW God status" has just been recently[/b] attained, I must respectfully ask that you refrain from bestowing any honors and/or demotions on your fellow DRs until the HHW Bylaws have been reviewed.*  Yes, you are currently are an "HHW God(dess)", but please keep in mind that the concept of seniority still applies on this forum.

I would also like to take this time to remind you - of inform you, as the case may be - that DR Ron Pulliam was and is the "first HHW God".  Attention must be paid.

*And if recall correctly, you have queried in many a post as to the whereabouts of the HHW Guidebook and Decoder Ring.  Are you sure we have your current address on file?

In other news...

I believe I'm just going to have a nice quiet evening here at the apartment.  Watch some TV.  Maybe do some laundry.  Maybe take care of some cleaning.  We shall see.

DR Ann - Thanks for sharing all your good news with us.

And I'm sure you and Jed will LOVE The Melting Pot.  -Sounds like he's going for the full fondue meal experience.  -And the one thing I like about The Melting Pot chain - well, two things - is that each restaurant is set up slightly differently, so that if you go to another Melting Pot in another city, you get a different "experience".  The other thing I like is that since the fondue services are set up for each course, the pacing of the meal is leisurely.  Plenty of time for digesting before the next pot of cheese, oil, broth or chocolate is ready for dipping into.

Hmm...  I think I will get at least one load of laundry done tonight.  Next week is going to be semi-crazy - three days of EPAs for Gypsy, and then four days up at Westport.  And I'll definitely need clean clothes for my days up in the country.  ;)
