SMALLVILLE joined UGLY BETTY in the death parade with some serious goings-on. Again, I thought the entire episode was going to be a dream with everything that was happening, but if it was a dream, that wasn't revealed at the end.

This also had a great last minute reveal of another piece from the comic book legend.

I think the two LOST producers said "I don't know" as a means of implying they weren't going to spill any secrets.

These men pitched the show to ABC originally telling them the entire twist the show was based on, so I believe most assuredly that THEY KNOW ALL.

You have to take those kinds of words with a grain of salt when they're trying to recap without revealing future secrets.

They said something similar on one of the commentaries on one of the "Lost" DVDs.  I did not take them as being coy.

Next up was last night's SCRUBS, an okay end of season episode (actually two episodes back-to-back) that ended badly (for me). Dumb, stupid plotting.

I did enjoy the LOST recap show very much. It brought all of the major characters and themes into sharp focus, and I'm so glad I recorded it.

I only have SUPERNATURAL left on the DVR of shows from last night, and I'll get to it either later tonight or tomorrow.

LAW & ORDER is the season finale tonight, but I've set the DVR to catch that, too, since I'll be DVDing almost all evening. VENUS will come first, and then depending on what time it is when it's over, I'll watch something else. There are some special features on the DVD I'll have to go through, too.

What a treat!  Tonight I shall be able to watch "Stargate: SG-1" in real time rather than having to record it.

(Now that "Ghost Whisperer" is through for the season...and because I could see it in HD over-the-air...I can now see the non-HD analog transmission of SG:SG-1).

A local newscast last night featured a piece on a proliferation of antennae popping up all over San Francisco.

The story revealed that this is because more people are getting HDTVs...and rather than pay extra $$$ for just a few HD channels, they are capturing "local" HDTV transmissions over the air.

Hey!  That's what I'M doing!!!  Only I'm using rabbit ears.

DR DakotaCelt:  Re: your DBF Jon's thoughts about my being an actor.

I "think" I'm flattered, but no, I'm nobody he'd have ever seen on stage.  And the last time I did act was in 1977...in Naples, Italy.

But...in another life....I'm sure it will happen.

This afternoon isn't moving along as swiftly as I'd prefer.

And things are so qu-i-et here in the office that things may seem more drag-g-ed out than usual.

I'm pleased to say that "Pan's Labyrinth" finally arrived via UPS late yesterday afternoon.

I'm looking forward to this one.

It is a quite and dull day here in the office and I just wish it were over so that I could go home to my dog and cat and a Bollywood movie.

It's not your usual file-my-nails-and-drink-coffee-chat-on-the-phone day?

I have the impression that, over the past couple of weeks, SOMEONE here posted that he had the London cast of an American musical and preferred it to the OBC because the orchestrations really popped on the London album.

I cannot, for the LIFE of me, remember what that show was.

Anyone remember?

I'm sure it was CABARET (the Judi Dench version).

I don't remember who was talking about it, however.

I forgot to mention that when I finished watching shows from the DVR, the cable box was tuned to DESK SET on the Fox Movie Channel, and even though I have the DVD and have watched it within the last few months, I sat there and watched the last 20 minutes all over again. What a comedy treat that movie is!

I love Desk Set... the whole "misunderstanding" scene from the moment Spencer Tracy picks up Katherine Hepburns suitcase until the the jr. executive arrives during dessert always has me in stitches

I'm off to have dinner with my DH and little French boy. I think we might try a new restaurant that opened on the site of another restaurant my LFB and I were fond of:

My favorite scene is the rooftop interrogation/quiz scene, but the whole movie is priceless.

What I saw this afternoon was Neva Patterson going crazy trying to type in questions that she didn't understand, and Immy blowing a gasket in confusion. And then everyone getting pink slipped by the computer.
