But vintage is usually worth the extra price!  :)
I's the upkeep on vintage that's expensive.

And had make-up on it too to give it definition. ;)

-I haven't seen the DVD yet.  But then again, I'm still recovering from seeing it live.  Did they at least mask or digitally edit out the stagehand who plugged in the Burning Bush?
I may have been too busy laughing to notice.
The production could live for ever using A.I. contestants.

Jeff Wayne's "War of The Worlds" is on tour here later this year. I've ordered the DVD of the Uk production.
The Crusie movie was such a disappoinment and oh so very silly.

Geez....ANOTHER thing on which we are miles apart.

I think it's a fantastic popcorn movie -- one unlike any other invasion sci-fi film ever made!

You know, I am all for conservation and saving the planet and stuff, but I have noticed that the no-flush urinals recently installed in the men's rest room get a bit rank toward the end of the work day.

That is all.

And regarding the "eel" question, I guess I consider fish to be meat.

Fish is meat. It is fish flesh.

I am rather fond of Italian salami and sausage.  We get our Italian foodstuffs from Monte Carlo in Burbank on Magnolia Blvd.  Attached is Pinocchio's italian Deli with wonderful sandwiches, and across the street Tony's Bella Vista restaurant with the best Italian dinners ever :)

I am also addicted to roast chicken. I could live on it.

As for a vegetarian food is concerned...

Are we talking vegan? lacto-ovo? lacto? etc., etc., etc...

I don't eat vegetables- I eat things that eat vegetables!

OR

I didn't fight my way to the top
of the food chain to be a vegetarian.

I think there's a leg and part of a thigh.  And a few potatoes.  So... Hmm...

But you told us girls last night that there were no leftovers.  That's OK, though, 'cause we ate all the Graeter's ice cream out on the PA turnpike  ;)

I just watched a very funny comedy (farce) this afternoon entitled FRIENDS AND FAMILY.  I knew the basic premise of the movie going into it; but despite the absurdity of the whole story, the movie was quite fun.  The story revolves around a pair of gay lovers who work as enforcers for a mob Don.  All is well until one of the men's parents show up in New York unannounced.  The twist is not that the parents don't know the two are lovers (they do), but that they don't know that they work for the mob.

The only thing I found distracting about the film was how little chemistry these two lead actors had between them.  It was pretty obvious that, at least, one of them was heterosexual, because there was no physical contact betwtween the two men.  The one scene where they held hands could have just as easily been filmed using hand doubles.

Now I have no problem with hiring straight actors (Lord knows they need the work); but if you are going to play the role, at least convince me that you care for the person that you are playing opposite.

Still any film that features Anna Maria Alberghetti is a good film in my book.

Wasn't "sorting and purging and bursting with love" a song on THE ODD COUPLE TV show?

Is that where my brother got his "I'm happy and peppy and bursting with love" that he breaks into from time to time?

Cute and quite amusing film DR TCB.  Isn't the writer or director a friend of DR FJL?

Now I did not mean to imply that the two male leads in FRIENDS AND FAMILY weren't nice to look at, because they were both attractive.  Greg Lauren and Christopher Gartin were the two male leads; and in addition to Ms. Alberghetti, the film featured Tony Lo Bianco, Meschach Taylor, Tovah Feldshuh, and Beth Fowler.

I think DR George mentioned the movie a few weeks ago.

Re FRIENDS AND FAMILY - Skip wrote the music and lyrics for the song "you can't Surprise Me," which is featured in the banquet scene.

My high school buddy, Joe Triebwasser, wrote the screenplay.  He actually was anmed one of Variety's "Ten Screenwriters to Watch" that year based on that screenplay.  It did quite nicely on the film festival circuit.

They did get some comments at talkbacks about the lack of at least a kiss between the two leads.

I just watched DANCING WITH THE STARS.  My head has been hurting for the past hour.  And my eyes have been too.  I"m not sure if it's sinus congestion or allergies.  But i had to close my eyes for a minute and actually missed joey's first dance. :(

But i did see the recap. And thankfully i caught apolo's free routine. Loved it.  So i came on here to vote.

I don't think i'll watch HEROES tonight. At least not now.  I don't want to feel crappy when i see what i expect will be a great show.
