I enjoyed all the photos yesterday.

Here is one of Craig and Yogi I took at the campus.

Wonderful photo of Craig and Yogi! What a beautiful dog! And Craig sure looks a lot like his dad!

Here's another way to pass the time that a friend of mine just forwarded to me:

What Was the #1 Song On the Day You Were Born?

DR Tomovoz - Alas, it only applies to the U.S. Billboard charts.

The #1 song on the day I was born:

"The Chipmunk Song" by David Seville & the Chipmunks

I know I am horribly out of the cultural zeitgeist, but I saw American Idol for the first time this season last night (just the last 5 minutes or so, as I waited for On the Lot to start).  Sorry, I just don't get Jordin--she sounded much better on the recap tunes than she did on the big power ballad finale, IMHO.  The other guy was pleasant enough--nothing special (again IMHO).  Sorry, AI fans.

On the Lot was really enjoyable.  Gabe is a budding filmmaker, so we're going to let him stay up to watch after school lets out.

Is it merely a coinkydink that "novelty songs" were #1 when certain Hainsies were born?  :)

DR MattH - Thanks for the heads up on those boxeds sets of musicals.  I had been reading about them on other sites, and since I don't have any of them currently in my constantly growing library-of-DVDs-that-I-will-probably-not-watch-for-another-couple-of-years, I was just wondering if I should add them to the queue.  ;)

It's a very cost conscious way of adding some great movies to your collection. And if you're one of those people who don't care so much about bonus features and just want the movie itself, you can't go wrong with these.

The first TV show I can remember seeing is BEWITCHED. I can vivdly recall an episode of it when I was 3 or 4 years old and I thought that Marion Lorne was my Grandma Cooper.

Jane--that's hilarious.  BeeGee does the same thing at the foot of our bed--he rests his head on the bottom shelf of Betsy's nightstand.

I've started responding to various Nigerian lottery winners and/or widows of sacked security chiefs from a Hotmail account with the following answer:

Thanks SO much for thinking of me as you attempt to divest yourself of your funds.  As an Assistant Attorney General for my State, I'm sure I can help grease the wheels to make the transfer of funds as easy as possible.  In fact, I've already used WHOSIS to trace your ISP to begin making arrangements for that very electronic funds transfer.  Please email again soon with as much personal information as you can!!  Thanks!!

DR Michael Shayne - As for Index markers...

The Telarc label was the one that consistently used index markers for their classical recordings in the early years of CD.  I don't know that they do this so much any more...

Indexing was quite common in the early days of CDs--they are "internal" markings in tracks.  I remember my first set of Brahms Symphonies had them at the tempo changes.   Kind of like bookmarks.

We're biting the bullet (no mean feat) and having our kitchen remodeled.  Pray for Rosemary's Baby.

Scary!  and...  Inconvenient!

I hope it's a true remodel and not a re-muddle[!]

And the word of the day is: CATACHRESIS!
Conrad the Canadian would resort to CATACHRESIS whenever he wanted to be SARCASTIC, EH?

Just watching "The View" - Now that was some debate!  Rosie and Elizabeth were really going at it!  I may have to look for it on YouTube later.

DR JMK - I really like "The Lot" a lot too last night.  And I think the panel of judges is actually a pretty decent cross-section of talent too.

Thanks for the photo, DR Jane.  Yogi looks like he survived the trip quite well.  Tell your son that a leather dog lead is MUCH easier on the hands!  :)

I may surrender to the need for James Bond this afternoon. I have one more of the Ultimate Edition Bonds on the counter - YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, so I may go that route after I watch THE SOPRANOS and SVU.

So many decisions to make. . . .

MBarnum-When I was in Pittsburgh I was thinking how Craig doesn’t look as much like Keith as he used to.

Singdaw-We had to get a new leash the first night (Yogi’s stunk since it had been in the crate with him) & Craig just quickly grabbed one off the shelf).  It did hurt my hands when I had to walk Yogi.  Normally Yogi wears a very nice soft leather collar but I needed the heavy duty pinch.

Jeff, I’m waiting for a photo of BeeGee in Sherlock’s pose.

My presentation is finished. Now I'm going to get a haircut and some lunch. I should have gotten a haircut before the presentation but the room was dark so no one noticed!
