Before I go I must add that the gods were certainly smiling on me when I requested the limo service to drive me to the airport...my driver was a wonderful, wonderful guy from Egypt (grew up in Cairo) who had only been in NY for a little more then a year. His name was Gudda (sp?) and he is a 34 year old chef (he got his culinary degree in Australia, where he lived for about 10 years)...however, he discovered that most places in NYC hire very low wage people to cook...so he found it more economical to work as a driver...more relaxing also.
Anyway, he and I talked and talked and talked the whole hours trip to the airport! What a great guy! He was astounded that I knew so much about Egyptian pop music (I told him Amr Diab was my favorite modern crooner) and movies...he couldn't get over it! Even even turned off the George Benson that was playing on the stereo and popped in some Arabic pop for me!
He told me I needed to get a nice Egyptian wife...but I told him I would prefer an Egyptian husband...he laughed and then told me he would find me two (2) Egyptian husbands, and how would I like that!! LOL!
He also laughed when he found out we both liked Bollywood movies (which are popular in Arabic countries)!!!
I think Gudda would make a fine husband

He truly was the frosting on my NY trip! What a way to go!
