Hiya - no, actually the artist is Virginia Downs of Palm Springs - she does religious art for calendars... I did see one set of note cards she had designed and fell in love with it, since it is exactly a picture of one scene in my novel - so I called and asked her if I could use it. I did a little Photoshop futzing with it - made the eyes more like mine, changed the hair, put the red color in, etc. I've gone back to the original white hair of the original art, for now...

I actually loved hearing about how the major tech screw up served to put the audience soundly in the show's corner - and the show went splendidly. I heard from a friend of mine who attended that the tech stuff just didn't matter at all to the quality of the show and the performances.

My own show - first performance since NY two and a half years ago - was WAY fun. I got laughs I have never gotten before in 7 years of running the show. My voice worked (I don't use mikes, thank heaven!), and it's a small enough venue that I felt I could just reach over and touch the peeps. Can't wait to do it again tonight. Feels good... the Little Trouper is back!

From experience they felt the BRAIN was one of the better produced plays they have seen in the festival. They are also going to Last Starfighter.

It concerns negotiations between stage hands union and the producers. The producers are threatening a lockout if they do not sign by 9-30.
