I did a little research & I guess "allergic" is too strong a reaction. The definition is :

Systemic Reactions, which usually begin 6-12 hours after getting the flu shot, last for only 1 or 2 days, and can include fever, malaise (not feeling good), and muscle aches.

I "love" the part about last ONLY 1 or 2 days. I can you those two days aren't much fun.

A pleasure DR FJL.

I'm mostly truant this weekend!
A long time friend had his home brone into a couple of weeks ago. Computer and some other goods stolen. He did not notice that his spare car keys were also stolen. The car was taken last week. In the trunk of the car were quite a few CDs including a set of about a dozen compilations I had made about a decade ago. He asked if I had copies myself! I'm remaking them from the beginning!

I am very glad that no one reads my posts anyway. Almost nine hours after originally posting my Stephen King favorites, I reread my post and found that I had listed the wrong book and television film as my favorite. I do indeed like THE DEAD ZONE, both as a book and as a film; but it was THE STAND that actually ranks as my all-time favorite King. It was done as a six or eight-hour television miniseries. It is one of the rare DVDs that I watch on a regular basis.

Ditto, ditto, ditto! The movie would have worked better if Kubrick had a more faithful adaptation to the book. There were a number of choices he made that Stephen King was apparently unhappy with. One I remember was that Kubrick asked King what the most scary element was in the story, and he said "the boiler". Kubrick immediately responded that he was going to take that out. I thought, "What an arrogant jerk!"

Hitchcock should have made this movie, IMHO!

I was thinking about RLS in the CAT scan and hoping that I wouldn't suddenly acquire it!

There is a group of older men and women here in town who entertain at nursing homes and hospitals. They are former comedy writers/performers from the 70's. They call their group CPR, which stands for Comedy Plus Revue. I was advising for a friend who was trying to get funding to do a piece about them, but so far, no go.

TOD - Never have been a big Stephen King fan. I did read a library copy of The Shining before taking it to DR Elmore when he was recovering from surgery about 30 years ago. Not long ago, I read Misery when I was contemplating auditioning for the Kathy Bates role in a local production, but realized that community theatre and my work schedule would not mix.

Thank you, Edi. I was appalled at what basically became the Stanley and Jack show, and it had little to do with Mr. King's book.

Brushed Back - A material backing made from brushed cotton, often used in pajamas to give them a warm, flannel feel against the skin.

Now if only I could find a nice set of these pj's. Well, I did. I found the nicest looking pair of pj's I have ever seen (these often come in horrendous colors), I saw the photo and sent wow, I want these. Then I saw the price tag-$147and went WOW!

None of the local stores sell these. When I can find them they do they are often too flimsy for winter wear. I need something warm or I'm too cold to sleep at night. Purchasing on line I really can't tell the weight, but I'm getting disparate for a new, attractive, pair of pj's.
