DR CILLA LIZ - my pic of Gale was later placed side by side with someone named Russ.....I didn't recognize him.  Let me see if I can find it.

Oh the guy from Jay Leno?   He's funny

Ross was one of the celebrity judges on PHENOMENON last week, or whenever it was I watched it.

I shall read MURDER tomorrow after work!

MR BK - are you having more fun?

Are you watching your BARNUM DVD'S?

Would you like DVD's of MAD MEN - the first season?

If I read the last chapter of MURDER first, does that count as finishing first?

Actually, Ross matthews is a delightful young man.  He has no problem making a fool of himself (auditioning for the Broadway production of THE GRINCH), but he has also become quite a spokesman for weight loss.

Tnstinct Magazine did a very sweet cover story on Ross last month.

Thanks TCB, he's REALLY lost weight. He looks great

I have 2 chapters left in Supreme Conflict about the struggle for control of the U.S. Supreme Court.  (It's more interesting than it sounds). Then I shall read Murder at Hollywood High

Red Skelton:  I am supposed to help you with your act.

Mel Blanc: (in a sombrero & sarape)  Okay.  Hold this cigarette in your mouth, and I will knock it out with my whip.

Red Skelton:  Whoa!  That sounds dangerous.

Mel Blanc:  Not all, I did this act for years with my brother.

Red Skelton:  Can I see you do it with your brother first?

Mel Blanc:  Sure.  (calling) Hey, No Nose - come here a minute!

And I will always remember how devastated Jack Paar was with the assassination of President John Kennedy. It is hard to believe that was 44 years ago this month.

Jane, have you considered getting one of those flashlights that you wear on your head?

I have no idea what that other junk at the end was, but this works.

;D  i do hate to disturb keith when he's trying to sleep.  right now i wouldn't enjoy getting out of bed to turn one off without bothering my hand, so it doesn't really matter.  a remote for the lamp would be nice, the must make such a thing.

Oh gosh!  How could I forget GRAND.  Pam Reed would never forgive me if I forgot her first TV series.

Tom, do you know Pamela Reed? I know that she's from Washington state.

I knew her briefly during her time in New York. I haven't seen her (except on television) since she left the city. My ex was friends with her (he sublet her apartment when she was out of town filming a movie) in the early 80s so I got to meet her. We saw her on stage a few times here in the city. In 1983 we went to her summer place in Woodstock (she was renting it) and I hit her in the head with a tennis ball (I was VERY bad at tennis and never attempted to play again after that). She's a wonderful person. She's married now, IIRC to a television/film director and she has at least one child, I think.
