Frances Reid did a lot of TV on both coasts...several Perry Mason's, several Wagon Trains, a few Alfred Hitchcocks and all of those NY anthology series.

Good Afternoon!  Good Evening!  (Well, it is dark outside already...)

The callbacks went well.  Short and sweet.  And since we were done early, we all went for lunch, and dished, dished, dished.  ;)

After the lunch and dishing, I headed back over to Macy's.  I needed some new workout clothes, and I went ahead and picked up a new winter jacket since there was some crazy sale going on today.  The jacket I got was marked at $240.00, but I ended up getting it for $88.90.  Not a bad deal at all.  :)

DR MBarnum (and DR Jane) - As for my cryptic comment the other day, well...  What I was trying to say was: If you did all of that stuff to get out of hunting with your Dad, I can't imagine what you did to get out of high school gym class.  ;)

Ohh...  Apparently, the handyman came by after I left this morning and took my window to get repaired again.  I just hope it doesn't come back not-repaired again later tonight.

Hmm... With the "breeze" coming through my bedroom window - a.k.a. black plastic garbage bags - I could sort of present an environmental version of Rent.  -And with no CGI breath!

Oohh....  I just printed out my workout for tomorrow, and it looks like I'll be trying out a couple of new machines.  And some of them will be on the "Intermediate" equipment.  Excited and scared.

Or...after that remark...."Down on the Moores"!

Do you let your printer decide?  Or is there some program or other that is planning your workouts?

Even when I set up a "season pass" on my DVR to record every episode of a series, I ask it to add a minute to the beginning and end, just to be safe.  But I don't think it listens to me...

I don't know that mine allows that kind of specificity.  I tell it to record a "program"...either a one-time thing or, in the case of one show, all new episodes.  It seems to be at the mercy of programming (i.e, 10-11 a.m., or whatever the "block" is that the program appears in).  When shows end one or two minutes after the hour, I don't get those one or two minutes.  And if I'm recording shows back to back, I often miss the first 10-20 seconds of the second show.

I'm currently using ActivTrax.  When I signed up for my current gym membership, a 30-day free trial of ActivTrax came with it, so I figured I'd give it a try.  So far, so good.  Although, I have a feeling after the initial 30 days, I will probably venture on my own once I have a better idea of what I want and need to concentrate on.  In the meantime, it's been a great source of variety during my time at the gym.

And the word of the day is: ALITERATE!
Every time one of his ALITERATE co-workers would state something as fact without checking to see whether or not it truly was, Ron would RETALIATE by throwing the entire Encyclopaedia Brittanica at them, one volume at a time.

I have worked.  I have returned from work, and napped.  I am now here.

Well, I stopped for a quick look at the bonus stuff on the Ratatouille DVD, which was on sale at work for $14.99.  The dual interview with Brad Bird and Thomas Keller is fairly interesting, getting into their shared personality traits.  I haven't yet watched the trio of deleted scenes.

DR SWW - as Terry Moore said about wearing a low cut dress in PEYTON PLACE:

Men can see a lot better than they can think, and a dress like this does more for a man than the entire Britannica Encyclopoedia

TOD

Schwartz/Menkin: "Out There."
Schwartz: "Life Goes On."
Menkin: "How Quick They Forget."

(For once, I've picked a couple of numbers more obscure than the ones Der B targeted.)

Yea!  When I looked through my CDs last night, one that I found and brought with me to work was Pictures in the Hall: Songs of Craig Carnelia (from 1991) with Craig Carnelia and Maureen Silliman (with whom BK starred in The Last Starfighter).

I read her little bio in the booklet and included in her credits is a stage production of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg!  I wonder when this earlier production was.

If worse comes to worse, we could really have a screwed up year of television...

At least we have dvds and tapes....
And books.
