THE FULL REPORT
« on: November 06, 2007, 02:06:45 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a full report, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they ate some bad grass and now they're having a full report, if you get my meaning.

bk, glad that everything went so well, and that the event was a success, and that Alan and Stephen were there and enjoyed it.  Kudos to DRs Cason and Adriana Patti!  Congratulations to you!  And a pox on all the do-nothing alumni!

Poor DR Ginny spends her days baby-sitting the aliterates who congregate for the creature-comforts of her library.

'Cmon Arnold - the choice is easy:

School days, school days,
Dear old golden rule days.
'Readin' and 'ritin' and 'rithmetic,
Taught to the tune of a hick'ry stick.
You were my queen in calico,
I was your bashful barefoot beau,
And you wrote on my slate,
'I love you, Joe,'
When we were a couple of kids.

Good morning, all!  I had a wonderful dinner with Rob Berman at the Film Center Cafe.  We met at 6:15 and the ambience of the place was wonderful.  At some point around 6:30 or 7, they lowered the lights in the romm and turned up the volume of the recorded sound, which was quite unseemly and rude to the diners trying to converse.  We also had an over-perky waitress who kept popping up like the proverbial bad penny to ask if things were okay.  I wanted to slug her.

I got home to discover that the hot water faucet in my bathrom sink is broken. I was able to turn off the hot water before the sink flooded, but now I need a plumber. Until this is resolved the hot water in my apartment is turned off and I am not happy at all about the situation.  Filling a bathtub in fits and spurts is not my idea of a fun way to awake in the morning.

First thing, dealing with the super, next thing, dealing with the party thrower David Monn to learn why after five weeks the copyists  and I still haven't been paid for the Plaza Hotel gig.

Amazon is taking its time posting my review of MAHH.

I am going to meet some friends of mine from the Department of Labor to spend some time today shopping and lunching.

The report on the Fund Raiser was wonderful.  Sounds like the audience AND the performers had a wonderful time!

But I did start one more load of laundry, and will soon put it in the dryer, and then I shall head off to the gym.  But before I do that...

DR elmore - I hate (yes, that's too strong a word) it when the Film Center Cafe goes into "hip" mode.  But I guess that goes with their not-so-recent remodeling.  In any case, glad to hear that you and Rob had a swell time - and it looks like I will be seeing him tomorrow too since I'll be playing for some casting sessions for American In Paris.

And I hope your water and Plaza issues get resolved today too.

Good morning!

Didn't feel as cold this morning, so it should be a pleasant day. I'm hopeful anyway. The cold temperatures start moving in tomorrow.

Yep, I'm on-line earlier than usual. It's election day, and I will forgo my workout this morning so I can get to the precinct and get that done. Also will give more time for viewing today. I have a number of Blu-rays here that have to get watched and written about.

In answer to your query, DR Cillaliz, DR Jose was absolutely right. I have stacks of DVDs sitting here that I haven't gotten to, so if the writers' strike prolongs itself so that shows use up all their unaired episodes, I'll just switch over to these DVDs I have sitting here. I will never have a lack of things to watch.

Tuesday morning greetings!  Election Day here in Ohio, so I left early to vote - gotta get those school levies passed if we have any hope at all of ever being able to sell our house.

TOD - Schwartz - "Kind of Woman" - if I'd continued in community theatre, this would have become one of my audition songs.
