Good evening one and all.
Thank you early morning denizens for the kind words about the "bowl washing"
As you know I'm not around during the day. I've been exhausted (but good exhausted) by the time I get home. I clean up, we have dinner and then I may glance at the television but I'm in bed early. In fact, last night I went to bed at 7:30pm and didn't awake until 7:00am this morning.
The volunteering is going very well. We have been very busy (as usual). There seem to be fewer people this year so I feel busier than usual but we have been very productive. There are two large groups with a delivery date of this Saturday and their bags need to be finished by tomorrow afternoon. One group is finished and the other group will be finished by tomorrow. Our main problem now is finding space to put the finished bags so we can open and fill more bags. Once the two big deliveries are done over the weekend we will have more space. The two big groups are close to 600 bags alone. This year we are scheduled to do over 3000 bags for the first time (the project has been going on for 22 years). The total is close to 3100.
We have volunteer appreciation party on December 17th. It will be very nice (I know because I have been to other Volunteer parties thrown by the host in his exquisite Central Park West apartment. From Friday, December 14 through the end of the year, my time is my own. Ant and I don't have any big plans, just relaxation and visiting friends. We will go out to Long Island for Christmas and then back to the city for New Years.
That's all from Chelsea.
Also, in answer to the morning question, "Who's singing second tenor?" Not me, said the baritone.
