And as for that "thick, thin green sauce", well I still find it around my 'hood.  ;)  In fact, there a few bottled varieties out there now that are pretty decent.  I really like the D. L. Jardine's brand of Roasted Tomatillo Salsa.  It's the tomatillos that give you that thick/thin consistency.  A lot of the Mexican brands also can it.

That doesn't sound the same, I'll have to check it out.  This sounds more like the incredible chip sauce we used to get at Robozo's on Pico Blvd.  It is long gone & I wish I had thought to ask Andy, the owner, for the recipe.  He would have given it to me as I was a favorite customer from the time I was 11.  Such a nice man and such great food.

Well, we'll just have to meet up at Olvera Street sometime in the near future and start sampling.   And asking for recipes.  ;)

Oh, DR Jane, those taquito stands can't stay young and cute forever!  :)

LOL, of course I was referring to Olvera Street as changing so.  I had no idea there was room for so much development in there.  And as an adult so much of it seemed tacky, which is why I loved it as a child.  That and all the yummy goodies for sale.

I may see if edisaurus can send a few more clips - perhaps World Of Tomorrow and I Need An Earthman will be next.

Silly me, I didn't open the link before.  This definitely looks like the sauce at Robozo's, only his wasn't hot.  Keith and I prefer very mild.

The taquito sauce, way back when, was always smooth & creamy.

The next HHW gathering will be at Olvera Street ;D  I bet they won't let Sherlock in though.

I'm off, got tons to do- all week.  Most of the tons are not anything fun.

I can, just give me a list. And since the edit I did was for also for staging reference, if you want to use less of the EWS master, I still have the material in my mac to do that. It might read better on YouTube---let me know what you think.

I may try exporting them as mp4s and send them to you that way, if that is what worked for you, providing they're not to big for my email program. I think you have an email for large files, right?

My favorite songs are the numbers with Zubrick and the Brain, if you want any of those!  :)

Ginnny, if I do get brave enough to put up a tree, I will be happy if it looks half as good as yours!

There are a number of Mexican oriented grocery chains in SoCal. The Vallarta bakeries make excellent pan dulce, they may make churros as well.

Thanks, DR Edi!  We had a couple of setbacks this year.  I prefer all white lights, but when Rob was little he wanted colored lights so we did both.  This tree is just a couple of years old and came pre-lit with all white.  We've been adding a few colored lights, which this year refused to work.  Rob pronounced that he's now mature enough to appreciate all while lights.  Yesterday, the last ornament I put on was his Starship Enterprise, which is supposed to light up when you attach it to a light socket.  The pre-lit tree sockets are too small, so Richard pronounced that the world won't end if the Enterprise doesn't blink this year.

DR ELmore, listening to the Farrellys in the commentary and on a couple of the bonus features on the DVD show that they really are nice guys. They do things on their sets to keep up morale (practical jokes, egg toss contests, costume contests) and treat everyone with friendliness and ease. But their film humor is really frat-boy stuff and obviously not intended for the likes of me.

I don't think there's any of that in OUTSIDE PROVIDENCE, probably because it's too personal.

Trying to stay away from the Brain, since the design changed so radically.  Sending mp4s seems fine and I think gmail can handle it - if your e-mail program can't, e-mail me at haineshiswayatgmaildotcom (insert @ and dot) and I'll send you a gmail invite - it's free and a great mail program with almost unlimited storage space.

At least in the NY Metro area, PBS is airing Weill's Mahagonny with Patti and Audra tonight.

Patti bellowing her way through a legit mezzo part! I'm surprised the Kurt Weill Foundation allowed it to be released for broadcast. Since it's a Doyle production, is she playing the tuba again?

Mr Ike Barinholtz is gone from MAD Tv this year, and all they will say if you ask is:  He moved on to other things.

I have not liked ANY of the new shows this season.  They are doing it more like a stage show at - I think - The Music Box Theater in L.A.  And the format is suffering for it, IMHO.

There are several new male cast members.....but NO IKE is something I don't like!

Well... I'm almost out the door...

The Tomatillo Salsa really isn't "hot".  It has a little bit of heat, but it's definitley not "hot".  Well, at least not to me - said the Flapapino who ordered a "Three Pepper" dish last week at a Thai place and thought it ranked maybe "One and a Half Peppers".  ;)  Seriously, I'd qualify that Tomatillo Salsa as "mild".  But your mileage may differ.  ;)

DR elmore - If you happen to talk with Charlotte today, and want to arrange a movie and time for Wednesday, just go ahead.  I have a feeling that Wednesday will be quite the "action-packed" day for me, and knowing that I have to be some place at some time will help me plan my day better.
