With nothing coming on TV tonight of any interest to me, I'll be Blu-raying and DVDing it today.

I have the review copy of THE OMEGA MAN that I'll deal with first. Doesn't appear to be a great number of bonus features on it.

I will watch A CHRISTMAS STORY at some point today.

I received some Blu-rays for Christmas and will choose from among them for later this evening. Not sure what quite yet.

Another of the best episodes of the season was Mick St. John's near-death experience in the desert in MOONLIGHT. A truly superb episode of one of the best of this season's new shows.

An ode to Jrand's prognostication:

Trine to Uranus
It's likely to pain us
Until you see a Neptune follow
Trine to Uranus
Our parents must train us
Without a hurt the moon is hollow

Deep in Uranus
It gets so darn heinous
Unless it can drain us
Or make us wallow

Trine to Uranus
And if it's Uranus
Just follow
(Follow, follow, follow)

Not sure how I could have forgotten about BONES, one of my very favorite shows. I will go back and adjust my list.

I'm cooking a turkey breast today rather than tomorrow since I'll be at SWEENEY TODD in the late morning. I need to go check on its progress, check the mail, and tidy up the bedroom and other environments.

Actually, JRand, my thoughts on the 007 movie were only for the first half hour...I will see the remainder of it later today at my sisters house, most likely.

TOD:

Doctor Who
Torchwood
Ugly Betty
McLeod's Daughters

since my work schedule is wonky to say the least and it makes it a tad difficult to watch the telly.

I do like:
Life
Journeyman
Two and a Half Men
Sexy Dirty Money

Episodes:

I have to echo MattH's comments on the episode from TORCHWOOD where Captain Jack neets his namesake. Well written and acted.

Shakespeare Code from Doctor Who

I also really liked the American Masaters Program on Carol Burnette

PBS's WAR
I know the following is an older program but it is the first time I have seen it and perhaps DR Jennifer has seen it:

Canada at War  In Colour.  Very well done.

I was grumpy until I read the shopdropping article

Mr. singdaw, what a charming notion
No it's isn't practical and inappropriate as always

(I have nowhere to go with this  :) )
I feel bad about the animals, but the rest of it was great.

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And I've been up for a while.  I took the dog out for his morning walk.  -Thankfully, Iki is a chihuahua so he doesn't walk that far.  I've made breakfast (scrambled eggs, whole grain english muffin, an orange and some green tea).  And I watched a cool program on the Travel channel about bizarre foods.  And now...
