In Charlie Wilson's War, Amy Adams is a long way from Enchanted.

DR TCB - your avatar is looking very spiffy for New Year's Eve!

Thank you, madam, I like to dress for the occasion, since I am getting to old to undress for the occasion.   ;)

Matt H, I didn’t realize your review “job” had become so extensive.  It’s great.

Michael S, I hope you get that trip to Dublin in 2008.

Charles Pogue, when we do finally visited your lovely part of the country, we will have the double pleasure of catching you in a performance.

Back from a small Eyetalian dinner and am now in for the evening and so begins our Rockin' New Year's Eve partay.  I cannot believe singdaw is fading fast at ten o'clock.  Hopefully he'll get his second wind.

And now that I've cleared my throat... ;)

Good evening!

I'm over at Steve's right now, watching and listening to the New York Philharmonic on "Live from Lincoln Center" - they're finishing up with Ravel's "Bolero".

We ended up having dinner at the Peking in downtown Richmond.  We had tried to order a whole fried fish, but our waitress mumbled something about it taking 40 minutes to prepare and that we had to call ahead.  ???  However, she did recommend the General Tso's Fish from their list of daily specials.  And it turned out to be quite a wonderful recommendation.  Basically, it was pieces of red snapper lightly breaded and fried, and then done up General Tso's style.  Very good, and the fish seemed very fresh too.

For dessert, we just came back here for some Breyer's Butter Almond Ice Cream.  :)

*Oh, and since Steve still had some money left on his Peking Gift Card, the whole meal only cost us $4.00!  :)

I've got lots of the bubbly waiting (bubbly as in Diet Coke) and I'm trying to decide if there's a movie I'd like to watch, or if I'll just wander from room to room.

Did you all eat, or will you be snacking during the partay.  I have a few Almond Rocas left.

Well, i R. I journeyed to "the city" just for the experience of New Year's Eve in Times' Square (and some other fun times - examples of which you probably have on your VCR).

Well, Woody saw me reading it and I had to confess; "Don't blame me, Jane posted it!"
