Another 30something fan here.
I had a bit of a crush on Ken Olin, too.

Me too, me too!  :)

I was listening to the OBC of 110 in the Shade yesterday and marvelling at Inga Swenson's singing voice.

She has this amazing quality [Lynne Wintersteller has it, too] where although she's singing in a legit soprano "head" voice, she makes it laser-focused with a very "belty" quality to it.

Love that!   :)

I loved Inga Swenson on SOAP...didn't even know she could sing. The things you learn.

I'm catching up.
Did I just read that DR Joe was giving advice on keeping to the straight and narrow?

Is Osso Bucco one of the stars of "the Little mermaid".
Am I reading too fast?

"The Little Mermaid"

Speaking of that show, and of rear sides [see previous posts], it has been declared over at ATC that "Sean Palmer [Prince Eric] has a particularly well-shaped butt."

So there you have it.    8)

Somehow "bubbles" seem appropriate for the show.

Is that the crown prince of Greece?

Oh no, it's DR SINGDAW....common mistake.

DR MBARNUM.....now I want to see it more than ever.  Certainly had Maria von Trapp and the children had sung DO RE MI while driving around pre war Saltzberg in a 1958 Chevrolet....well....it would have MADE the movie!

And just where is Sean Young [DR SY] lately?

Probably making calls of a similar nature around the neighborhood.

Turned into a beautiful day, and if it's going to rain, it'll be much later tonight. It's glorious outside right now.

I forgot to mention this yesterday, but I'm sure some of you saw the announcement that ABC is going to do another season of THE MOLE this summer. This was my ALL-TIME favorite reality show the first year it was on. So much did I love this show that I applied to be on its second season. (It would have filmed during my first year of retirement, so I figured I was safe applying.)

Funny thing was that one of the guys selected to be on that second season was a man only a year or two older who was a retired English teacher! It looked like they had at least two of those to pick from and chose someone the other one. Ah, well. I'll be looking forward to this contest this summer.

I began my afternoon with two episodes from the old POIROT series. The first was "The King of Clubs," and it was great fun revisiting it.

The second one was "The Great Theft" or something like that. I forgotten the exact title. I'm sure I had seen it before, too, but I could not for the life of me remember how it ended.

Both of these two DVD episodes were from old videotape transfers, and they looked washed out and soft, so the viewing experience wasn't pristine, but the entertainment value of the shows is what really counts, I guess.

Next, I watched DRAGONLANCE. As expected, the Dungeons and Dragons stuff pretty much bored me silly, and the animation was a mixture of stiff 2-D animation and some 3-D CGI dragons which were kind of impressive. Kiefer Sutherland and Lucy Lawless were the two top-billed voice stars, but Kiefer's role was definitely less important that the role played by Michael Rosenbaum who was sort of the hero/eader of the band of warriors trying to save Elves and others from the attacking dragons and the evil enchantress, her male knight, and the dragons under her command.

I did watch the two minor bonus features: some line art tests from various places in the movie and some initial character designs for the major character.

And finishing this up this afternoon means tonight I can watch a Blu-ray disc. I was thinking about BLADE RUNNER originally, but now I'm leaning toward 2001. I've read such wonderful things about both of their HD transfers.

On the conference planning front, I've worked the phones all day and have received an important NO (better than not knowing at all) and several very significant YES's!  I just might make that deadline after all.

American Football... FINALLY makes sense..........

A guy took his blond girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"

She said "Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarter back! Get the quarter back!'

I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!

(Well DR Vixmom does not get to post much these days)

Have written five pages and am on to a new chapter - maybe I'll do a couple more just to get into the new chapter a bit.

On my computer, each time I view a clip, I see a "download this video" tab in the upper right-hand corner of the video.  Works every time.

What's your operating system or browser??  I've never seen anything like that.

Good Afternoon!

An hour and 15 minutes at the gym, followed by an hour of playing and practicing some Bach and Brahms.  Now that's a good workout!

:)

*And I have to say, I was sort of surprised that even though I've been away from the gym for about a month, the resistance part of my workout was rather "easy".  -And I didn't even have to reduce the amount of weight I lifted a few weeks ago.  -Which also sort of confirmed my suspicions that I had been working out a bit too much before.  Rest is a good thing.
