Heck, I even see it in my house, from one room to another!

While I was doing the CD shelves, I saw the finale of MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER and the first in this new series about rich pretentious twits called THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY. Nouveau pour les jours!

Yes, the ice storm I enjoyed was in my DVD player. We actually have a lovely late winter/early spring day here.

The sun is shining here in SW Ohio and it has stopped snowing - for now.

I did finally watch the PROJECT RUNWAY finale while I cooked and ate lunch. All three designers had interesting and beautiful creations. Obviously I preferred the designs of the one who finished second, but I could see the judges' reasoning behind their #1 pick. I didn't agree with it, but I could see where they were coming from.

I do wish we could have seen the collections for the two designers who finished fourth and fifth and who also showed at Fashion Week (though not in PROJECT RUNWAY competition.)

Next, I istened to the audio commentary for THE ICE STORM. Ang Lee's English is just still foreign-influenced enough to be funny and endearing. His producer partner (who also wrote the script) did the majority of the talking and their close friendship was obvious. Lots of nice bits of information dissiminated in the commentary.

We're down to a Level 2 snow emergency now.  That means that they still advise against driving, but they're not threatening arrest.

When I go back down, I'll watch the second disc of bonus features. I assume there will be 4-6 featurettes/documentaries concerning the movie. Should be very interesting content in these.

Off to watch the bonus features on THE ICE STORM.

I got the HD-DVD version of FORBIDDEN PLANET in the mail today and watched the first 6 chapters of it this afternoon as well. If I have time, I'll finish that up tonight too before TORCHWOOD!

I went to the Apple Store this morning and I'm happy to say that a helpful fellow taught me how to use Garage Band, so that I can now record and sing right from my piano right into the computer - very handy and it works great - I can play the piano first, then lay the vocal over it, and if a song has three counterpoint sections I can do them all.  Then it goes directly into iTunes.

I just changed all my clockes & watches.  I'll be retiring early tonight, as well.

SUCH an exciting life!   :)

Got my car back from the garage today - routine servicing.  And I suspect I escaped at considerably less cost than did DR JRand57.

Did you notice a band there?

I just bought a ticket to see a 65 year old Jesus---Ted Neeley. My DH wasn't interested in going, so I bought a single ticket and probably got the best seat in the house for hte last show tomorrow. It's being staged at our new performance arts center. I've never been, so I'm looking forward to seeing it, and the show!

You'd think at 65 that Jesus is about ready to retire now!

A couple years ago, when I started having trouble with this old lap top...oh sheesh that must have been almost 3 years ago, anyway, I let the husband of one of my former coworkers "fix" it for me.  He designed the thing so I figured he could fix it.

Of course he didn't tell me it had a design flaw, he also didn't tell me he installed a bogus version of Windows XP, so here I am reformatting and installing the original version that came with the computer becasue the new "Validation tool" won't let me get online with the old version.

It's just as well.  I haven't put much on this computer yet anyway, so I can start fresh.  I can't believe how well it's working now that I fixed it

...

They'll probably start popping up tomorrow.  Until late this afternoon, it was too blustery even for kids to be out playing in the snow.

Did I mention that banks and shopping centers were closed around here?  That's a sign it's really bad.
