As to me, I'll be heading home around six and I fully intend to watch one of the new Fox noirs this evening.  I had a second In and Out burger and am done eating for the day, unless I find some fat-free snack for later.

I am seeing this new Sweeney Todd in a couple of weeks when it comes to Phoenix. I don't think I will like this gimmick of actors playing the instruments.

I liked it. But I sat fairly close and as I remember the theater in New York was a smaller house than the Ahmanson.  I could be wrong though, it's been awhile since I saw Sweeney Todd

Jane - the Kimmel geneology is convoluted, I fear.  From what I understand, Kimmel is not the real name - I believe the name was appropriated on my father's side at some point, by my father's father's father, I think.  The original Kimmel name was, I'm told, then name I gave to the grandparents in the Kritzer books.

Hi all!   I hope everyone is happy and well.

I had my new bed delivered today.  I haven't slept in it yet but I'm looking forward to it.

I think it's going to be wonderful!

I know it's goofy, but I always wanted lions in front of my house and they were really cheap at Tuesday Morning

I tried them on the pillars, but the pillars aren't flat so they were pretty precarious up there

I thought that Ian McKellen's film of RICHARD III was rather interesting.

Thanks, Danise.   They are clay terra cotta color on the inside.  They are painted white then have this cement dust stuff stuck on top of it. I'm very  curious to see what they'll look like after it rains.   I may be learning how to faux paint very soon

I love your "guard" lions, Cillaliz! I love your house, too--it has that storybook look that I love. Lucky you! Well, perhaps not luck--you probably earned every cent it cost. But I think you are indeed fortunate to have it.

Last night while I was flossing my teeth one of my gold crowns popped out. Fortunately, I found and retrieved it. Given that DR Jane just had crown trouble, and given that things tend to run in threes, who's next??

Thanks for the compliments.

DR Jeanne, I fell in love with this house when I saw it advertised on the internet.  Luckily it's located in a part of the country where prices are affordable, It still needs a lot of work, but I don't mind doing it. So, let's just say I got a good deal on it.  I hope I can stay here forever.

a question for Jane...

Do you know if Keith would know of how to contact Ancestry.com for an error in indexing a name?

A few years ago, one of my old neighborhood pals that I had gone to grade school with passed away.  As a result of signing the online Guest Book for my friend; I became reacquainted with another old friend that I had not seen in over forty years.   Since then, we have exchanged several e-mails, and he came and saw a performance of mine in INHERIT THE WIND, which he said he was very impressed.

Now he has returned the artistic favor.  He is a journalist and an author, having written four non-fiction books that have been published.  About two weeks ago, he told me that he had written his first work of fiction, a novel for young people.  He asked if I would be interested in reading it and giving my opinion.  Well, frankly, I have put it off, afraid that I would hate it or be bored to death.

I need not have worried.  The book is fantastic.  I couldn't put it down, and even though I finished it this afternoon, I am pretty sure that the story and the main characters will remain with me for some time.  I sent it back this evening, with a few spelling errors and a few very minor things that I think he should change; but other than those, I truly think this book is a winner.
