This mini-frenzy brought to you by my taking a break in packing.

With the school year coming to an end (meaning my employment as a substitute teacher ends with it), and because I have yet to land a job on the west side of the state, I'll be moving back home for a little while.  Thought I was out of there 4 years ago, but kinda makes sense to avoid paying rent while unemployed, ya know. :D  Hopefully, I'll find gainful employment in the Seattle/Tacoma area soon, and won't have to be back down in Ellensburg for long.

One real advantage to living as bare bones as I do... packing an apartment takes no time at all!

Jed, have you ever seen the ghost in McConnell Auditoium?

Errant and truant the whole weekend because my computer will be boxed up tomorrow evening, and not reconnected to the internet until Tuesday!  :-\
I have a feeling I'll have a LOT of reading to catch up on when I return.  But I've still got a good 30 hours of reading/posting time between now and then!

The only ghost spoken of on campus these days is in Kamola Hall.

Well, since she's playing Samantha Stephens in the BEWITCHED movie, and Samantha was a witch, I think it's obvious that WICKED will win.

Or perhaps it means, since she's Australian, that BOY FROM OZ is going to win.

Nahhh!

Really?  I wonder what happened to the ghost in McConnell?  I actually saw the ghost one night -- and I was not drunk or stoned -- and I was not alone when I saw it.

I just hope that it is all for the best (a Candide and Godspell reference).

Okay, I just realized that it's not really a Candide reference, just a Godspell reference. ::) Oops (spoo spelled backwards).

One of my favorite caper movies is called The Silent Partner, which has also been released under the title Think of a Number.  It stars Elliot Gould and Christopher Plummer.  Plummer is a bank robber, and Gould gets wind of his intention to rob the bank he's working at.  And when the robbery goes down, Plummer gets away, but Gould snatches the loot...and understandably, this makes Plummer very, very angry...and that's only the first twenty minutes of the movie.

There's a Michael Caine movie called The Silver Bears that I remember enjoying an awful lot, too.  And Burt Reynolds as an aging safecracker in the movie Breaking In really worked for me.

I watched The Testament of Dr. Mabuse this weekend, and it was a joy to behold.  I remember seeing the shortened version on AMC or TCM years and years ago, and having to give up because it didn't make a lick of sense.  Now that it's 99 44/100% restored, it actually makes quite a bit of sense, and is a genuine nail-biter.

It also makes me want to watch M again.

And Hannibal Lecter isn't nearly as cool as Dr. Mabuse, says I, nor half as scary.

Here, as promised several days ago, is another George Eads picture from the CSI daily calendar. Please bear with the image. I've just installed a new scanner, and this is my first attempt at using it. If the picture is too small or too large, I'll try again.

Did anyone else get the latest wave of Disney Treasures deeveedees?  I've been wading through them for the last few days, and they're fabulous!

A word of advice, though...if you're gonna pick these up, do it now.  I didn't pick up the first volume of Mickey Mouse in Living Color, and paid close to a hundred bucks for it on eBay recently.  I picked up two copies of all four of these releases, and intend to put 'em up on eBay in a few years.

Which brings up another subject, even though it's not Ask BK (or the Dear Readers in general) Day: do you ever buy anything specifically to sell on eBay?  I know I certainly have...

Speaking of M, for those with region 2 players there is a new special edition out, 2 discs, and with quality that blows the Criterion DVD away.

Of course the big question in every episode of Enterprise is, "What excuse will they find this week to show Connor in his blue underwear?"

I can only say....

I took my harp to a party
