Note to self: Send some chicken soup to DR derB -- he's being uncharacteristically quiet today, too...

She is visiting us from Korea by way of Salt Lake City, where she is completing a teaching internship. We've been having fun shopping, eating and drinking our way through the city.

Last night we went to karaoke. Tonight we're going out for a Korean feast after I get home from rehearsal.

And now I must take leave so that I can attend said rehearsal. Today we are learning the havana dance- I am the featured dancer. I'm excited about having a solo dance, but even more excited about getting to fight onstage.

I finished watching THE FUGITIVE episode I had started last night, the one with Leslie Nielsen. Some nice surprising twists in the story.

THE FUGITIVE really was one of the best drama series ever.

Group wants Wi-Fi banned from public buildings
By: Gadi Schwartz KOB-TV, and Joshua Panas KOB.com

A group in Santa Fe says the city is discriminating against them because they say that they're allergic to the wireless Internet signal. And now they want Wi-Fi banned from public buildings.

Arthur Firstenberg says he is highly sensitive to certain types of electric fields, including wireless Internet and cell phones.

"I get chest pain and it doesn't go away right away," he said.

Firstenberg and dozens of other electro-sensitive people in Santa Fe claim that putting up Wi-Fi in public places is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Silly goose! Everbody knows you can wear an aluminum hat to protect yourself from WiFi probing.

PS Good luck escaping the cell-phone rays

I started another FUGITIVE episode. This one guest stars Arthur O'Connell, another great character actor.

I'll finish it when I go back downstairs.

Next I watched THE RECRUIT. It's an OK film. Starts out well with some smart surprise doublecrosses to jerk the audience out of its complacence. But as it runs on, it goes a little off kilter and garbled. Yes, it rights itself at the end but there are plot holes once one thinks about to what has gone before.

Directed by Roger Donaldson who knows something about surprising an audience from films like NO WAY OUT.

I had time to watch the bonus features, too. 4 deleted scenes, one of which was another surprise doublecross sequence (I guess they figured they had enough of them in the first half of the movie).

There was a nice 16 minute feature on "The Farm," the CIA training academy. Of course, all of that is top secret so they had to illustrate with clips from the film, so we don't really get to see what the real places are like. Still, interesting.

And I listened to about 20 minutes of the commentary. Colin Farrell just naturally talks with expletives, so lots of bleeping during the commentary. I'll listen to more when I go back down. The director and Farrell seem to have a great camaraderie.

But I'm going to have a nice evening to myself for viewing. I will try to finish THE FUGITIVE disc 2 (of 4). Otherwise, I may watch THE TUDORS or save it and watch something else for fun tonight.

I have never been to a Wal-Mart.  Before yesterday, I had never been to a Costco.  I have been to a Target once.

You really don't know what you're missing.... I haven't beent o a Costco, we don't have them here, but I'm assuming they are something like a Sam's Club.   I like Target better than Wal-Mart
