DR Maya karmy is on clicksmiles under "cool"

And I LOVE MissMatch.  For some reason I could tell it was my kind of show from the previews. I think it's really cute and charming.  Oh and if she doesn't get with that architect guy soon I will SCREAM.

What recording of GOTTERDAMMERUNG do you have? I have Sir Georg Solti on London with Birgit Nilsson and the usual suspects.I was fortunate enough to see the entire Ring twice at the Met.

TCB-

I really REALLY enjoyed your pictures last night. A true sight(s) for sore eyes. I guess it really takes a woman and I am truly glad that your friendship with Sharry O'Hara has lasted professionally and personally for so many years.Do you have anything new coming up on the boards?

Thank you, Arnold.

Every year, I tell myself that I am not going to get involved with any productions during the holidays; but every year I seem to get offered some show that I just can't turn down.  2002 was a bad year for me.  Due to my two back surgeries, I couldn’t do a show the entire year.  So, when I got a call in September ’02, from a theater company telling me that they had postponed doing Oliver for a year, because I wasn’t available to do Fagin; I promised myself that this December I would do it.  Oliver runs December 12 thru January 4.

Jennifer--Thanks!  How was Sandy by the way?  I heard she was a decent Roxie.

Think I'll go and take a little nappie.

Btw, speaking of Evita as we were yesterday, apparently The Simpsons will be doing an EVITA parody on this Sunday's show. I will try to remember to tape it.

DR Maya: I thought Sandy was decent as Roxie.

Well I don't have to be right. I am just opinionated!

I'm surprised you aren't into the canoe Survivor coverage. Weren't you crazy about his coverage of Big Brother?

Btw, DR Maya look how popular you are.  26 karma points. Yeah!

Question. Has anyone here seen the new revival of Wonderful Town?  How does it compare to the Encore's version (that totally blew me away).

DR AMB--

I am listening to the same recording you mention, conducted by Sir Georg Solti and featuring Miss Nilsson and Mr. Wolfgang Windgassen.  I recently picked up this version of the complete Ring on CD, the first time I have duplicated on CD anything that I already own on vinyl.

I also have, on vinyl, complete sets conducted by Herbert von Karajan (with Helga Dernesch) and Wilhelm Furtwaengler (with Kirsten Flagstad.)  My library also includes, on vinyl, another complete Walkure (again with Miss Nilsson, but on this recording with Mr. Jon Vickers--incredible!--led by Erich Leinsdorf), plus a gazillion records with excerpts from the various Ring operas sung by the usual suspects from the mid-20th century.

I was lucky to see the Ring once at the Met, with Miss Birgit Nilsson.  It was an amazing experience.

If this puts us into CinemaScope, I will take it down.

I thought Evita (Velvetta) was a parody.

Jennifer:  "Big Brother" was happening in real time, and Canoe was monitoring it 24-7.  They had insights to share based on first-hand observation.  But they didn't know in advance what was going to happen any more than you or I did.  We experienced it together.

For "Survivor," they seem to be thriving on rumor and innuendo.  The show is in the can, so to speak.  Cast members deliberately say things to throw everyone off the truth because they are well-compensated by CBS NOT to let slip anything that might give away what really happened.

No matter how convincing the Canoe guy seems to be, no "Survivor" show, thus far, has been accurately predicted based on anything that was said on the internet, gleaned from comments by any of the cast members.  He wasn't even sure who would leave last night, although his "guess" was right.

I may be very wrong in my faith that this is still the case for this "Survivor" show.  There's no point in watching if one puts faith in "leaked" information.  Not for me, anyway.

JRand53:  The mail has not come yet.  It normally gets here about 1 p.m.  It's not  quite 11:30 a.m.

I haven't seen any pictures of Annette in several years.

Speaking of absent stars, has anyone heard anything about Connie Francis lately?  I always loved her, and I had such high hopes for her comeback.

Also, what about Betty Hutton?  She was so wonderful and so well received when she did Miss Hanniganin in Annie that I hoped it was going to be the start of a new career for her.  Anyone?

LOL TCB -thanks, just wanted to be noticed.  Now watch my Karma go down! 8)

Did you see the interview that Robert Osborne did with Betty Hutton on TCM three years ago? ;D

Recent pictures of Annette are not pretty, sad to say.  She celebrated her 61st Birthday last month.  :'(

I agree, following their Big Brother coverage was better and much different.  I don't know if they have done Survivor coverage like this before.  But if you check their records for this season, their information has been VERY accurate thusfar.  They knew about the outcasts coming back.  And they seem to have insights about the show that are quite interesting.

I don't think he knows exactly who is going each night. Without having seen the show, he can't know everything. But he seems to have clues about who will stay and who will be gone soon.

The only reason I am reading it is because of how great his Big Brother coverage was. I really like the way this guy works.

Btw, what did you think about his ideas about what he feels the "big lie" is?  Should be interesting. I hope there really is a lie.

Since, Mr. Oz is posting from the future, don't you think we should get him to tell us the scores of all the Sunday football games on Saturday?  At least we should be able to prosper from our friendship with the man. ;D

No, I wish I had seen the interview with Miss Hutton.  I have not seen or heard anything about her since Annie, and that must have been 1980 or 81.

I feel so bad about Annette.

Be careful, Jennifer, you might find yourself voted out of there and into the Yukon.

Before I forget. Thank you to the WEL & Ben for answering the "Cry For Us All" question from Mr Brockman. A good friend in the States has transferred it to CD (I guess that is how come I have it on CD) I also have a 2 CD set of a live performance of the show. It really has a charming score - very melodic.
