I am hearing Handel's The Messiah this evening, Dear Readers, as performed by the Pasadena Symphony and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.  The big news is that the performance is at the Ambassador Auditorium, in my home town of Pasadena, California.  This is a hall that, it is said, has absolutely marvelous accoustics.  It served as a very popular concert venue for all the top names in classical music and pop music from about 1984 to 1994, at which time it was closed to the public when it was acquired by the Worldwide Church of God.  The hall changed hands recently (a different church now owns it) and this Messiah performance is the first of several musical events that have been announced to be held there.

As much as we all love cake, I preferred it when the Weather Girls sang about a different kind of rainfall.

What about "beefcake"  then, td!

The best of both sides, hey?

Do you read what I read IS NOT, I repeat, IS NOT one of the verses to a particular chanson de Noel.  (Not even DR Noel).

TCB!
td!

Do YOU read what I read here??! :o

You see, Dear Reader Elmore 3003, Oh yes you did! and I wasn't the only one to notice.

Of course, the quotation begs the issue of why I have not ascended into Dear Reader Francois' little club comprised of Dear Readers TCB and td.  I thought my double entendre retort (the first and the only, at least as of this moment, by the way) would have warranted such inclusion.

Well I have my first twenty minutes or so of my new play done. I had one of my friendly neighborhood actors read it and so far so good.

This is something totally new that I started today and was really inspired. The other play although I think a great idea in my opinion would not fill out an evening's entertainment.

The inspiration for the new play came from a song that BK has recorded on three different albums, but sung by two different different people.

Dr Elmore:

Things are getting better. Starting next week I only have to see my chiropatric doctor once a week. The constant pains are not all that constant any more.

Photobucket is fine.  How many sites on all the Internet are there where you can read such a sentence?  None.

Also, Jay!

I hadn't read your retort before I posted and the way you phrased your double entendre is much better than mine!

It could also be: fotobucket is phine, but that would be too unseemly, wouldn't it? ;)

DRJay, Honi soit qui mal y pense!

Now, let's talk art:  who's singing in MESSIAH?  Complete work?  I haven't heard a performance since Tanglewood, 1973, the Boston Symphony conducted by Sir Colin Davis with Benita Valente and other singers I've long forgotten.  John Shirley Quirk may have been the bass.

Any fans of the Capitol Steps here?  And their Lirty Dies?

One of my favorites involved Dincess Priana (defore she bied) and her little affair.  The Capitol Steps' line was "someone phook a toto.  And a tideovape."

Of course, Clill Binton was president at the time, and we still celebrated the American lay of wife.

Not sure which edition--nor to what degree of completeness--will be played tonight.  The soloists are:

Rodney Gilfry, BASS [sic]
Suzanna Guzmán, MEZZO SOPRANO
Elissa Johnston, SOPRANO
Randall Bills, Tenor

Whew! A lot of posts to catch up on. I smell over 300 posts tonight. (Mint with a touch of garlic.)
I still for the life of me can't remember who the Joi Lansing type well-racked blonde actress was that I doubled for as a very young actress in an episode of a schlocky Canadian-American TV show. (We were around the same height and had somewhat the same coloring. The resemblance ended there bigtime.) In the same show, I played a nurse when not doubling for the buxom blonde. Unbeknownst to me, lit a certain way, my nurse's uniform became a see through number. I was quite flattered that the handsome star of the show was paying quite a bit of attention to me. Obviously, even though my role is small (along with my rack) - he sees my burning talent, thought I Then he took me aside and commented on my cute white panties. (Cotton, of course.) Never have I felt so deflated.

UNDERPANTS!

SAY IT LOUD AND SAY IT PROUD:

RANDALL BILLS IS A TENOR.

Jorge Mester, Music Director of the Pasadena Symphony, will conduct.

Wow, I feel like I've spent all my time here catching up on posts!

I wanted to post earlier about the topic du jour.  But I was out till 3pm.  And then when I logged on my sis and her hubby showed up.

Of the shows mentioned I love The Amazing Race, and the Apprentice.  And my favorite of this season is Desperate Housewives.

You guys can make that 3 people who like Kevin Hill.

And I loved Sex and the city.  And was so sad for the finale.
