Coincidently, Netflix sent me ADDICTED TO MURDER 2 just this week...in which Mr. Rodzinski plays "The crazy vampire guy."

Tom has no picture at IMDB (but then many people don't seem to have pictures at IMDB). We need to see his face when we search for his movies  ;)

After my jog, I sat down on the couch and promptly dozed off for forty-five minutes.  I never do that sort of thing, and I must really be needing these days of relaxation.

Wow, I do a little work and come back to find a celebration of my career here. Yes, I am in 5 or 6 of the lamest sci-fi "movies" ever made. No small feat, but a fun one.

THE GOLF WARS though, now that was an enjoyable avant-garde musical I did in Brooklyn then later at the Lamb's Club in Manhattan. The music has been running through my head lately. It made no sense but was doggone catchy.

Hmm...when I called the Watergate Hotel, the first thing I heard over the phone was "This conversation may be recorded to assure quality control."

The Lamp (aka Zagtrog) was a nice $5 find from when I moved into my own place in Brooklyn and was furnishing the space exclusively via stoop sales. Brooklyn is good that way.

Question for BK:
Have you ever known of a Broadway show where a cast album was recorded but never released?

I'm not BK, but I know that they recorded the entire show of Nine and originally only released a 69 minute (or so) album and 80 minute cassette.  It wasn't until a couple of years ago that they finally released the entire recording (and it's fabulous!...in my humble opinion ;))

Otherwise, Paul Simon's The Capeman is the only show that I know of that had a complete recording that was never released.  He did release a "Songs from The Capeman" CD, but Paul himself sang some of the songs and they weren't the same arrangements as the show.

I bid my mother and sister farewell earlier this afternoon, and now I am at work.  I will just say that having family in town is stressful.

Especially when one of the family members talks constantly on her cellphone and makes it known that she would have preferred to stay at home.  But maybe that's just me being oversensitive.

All I know is that Rodzinski is quite a trooper.  And that we are looking forward to a quiet weekend alone!

I began the afternoon by watching excerpts from last night's AMERICAN IDOL.

I didn't think either of the two was in extraordinary voice. Of course, I realize they had to have been dreadfully nervous, and I think the nerves were present in all three songs for both of them. I thought Katharine had a hard time with pitch and with her upper register which seemed astonishly thin compared to previous weeks.

Taylor didn't seem to stay on pitch as consistently as he has in the past either.

All told, I think Taylor clearly did the better job and was the better entertainer. If I had voted, I would have voted for him.

But last night only confirmed for me that neither of them can hold a candle to Elliott for pure singing chops or interpretation.

I next finished THE BALLAD OF JOSIE. An interesting change of pace for Doris and a wonderfully fitting leading man role for Peter Graves (too bad they never made a present day romantic comedy), but the writing really let them down. The entire last 30 minutes was a mess.

Next, I finished THE NEGOTIATOR which I had also started last night. It's a terrific cop thriller, and has one of Kevin Spacey's and Sam Jackson's best performances. They made a good "team."

Next up, I put in the Criterion Collection DVD of MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO. I had only seen the film once when it first came out and liked it very much, so I'm really enjoying seeing it again. What a loss for us all with River Phoenix's death.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. A friend made me watch it a couple of years ago...and it made me a fan of Kevin Spacey.

I've never been to Washington, DR FJL but maybe the above travel site will help you.

I loved the after grad photos, TPunk and your Mom I agree that your Mom looks hugable.

As for the Wonderdog, I don't know what to tell you because I was going through the same thing with Bear.  The vet kept saying it was because he was greaving Brandi.  Has he lost someone he cared for--maybe even a friend you don't really think meant something to him.

DR Ginny, I know that you will enjoy being home at a normal time to enjoy the evenings with your family.

It's been said before, "There's no place like home!"
