TOD - the seminar I attended Thursday afternoon was all about intergenerational issues. The Millennials, born after 1980, are characteristic multitaskers and like to be "connected," according to the presenters. There was quite a discussion about the meaning of connectedness. Many Boomers in the audience thought there was a loss of personal interaction with the use of high-tech communications tools.

I THINK I'm going to end up in row L towards the center rather than the previously mentioned row U side

Good morning!

Another hot, muggy day here. The NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 event is in town this week (the NASCAR All-Stars was last week), so the whole town has been about racing for two weeks solid. Since I have only listened to one race in my whole life (forced to by being a passenger on a four hour car trip from the beach with a NASCAR groupie), I am totally disinterested in the outcome, but it's REALLY BIG here, believe me!

Most kids get their music from iTunes... where "High School Musical" has been one of the top downloads for MONTHS. I'm not sure many kids buy music anymore, it's all digital.

I really have no opinion about these blog sites. I never go to them. I really only come here and to two other discussion boards about things that interest me (films, theater, show biz).

When I first came to the Internet, I used to spend a lot of time in theater chat rooms, but I quickly learned that the majority of posters were teens who knew nothing more than PHANTOM (at that time) and LES MIZ and knew nothing about even such pop hits as DOLLY, MAME, FIDDLER, BIRDIE, MY FAIR LADY, MUSIC MAN. Truly, you could NOT get an interesting discussiong going about anything except Michael Crawford and PHANTOM. So, I soon left those boards.

Well, someone must have bought those CDs because the soundtrack CD was #1 for some weeks and has been there for months in the Top 20.
