My friend had her surgery today to remove the mass on her lung.  It was completely contained & removed without any negative effects to her lung. :D

As sung by Frederick Beggerman in A Little Fido Music:

Now
As the sweet little ice cream cone tumbles so effortlessly onto her lap
Now
There's are two possibilities:
A - I could lick it up
B - i could nap

Keith did a bit of research to figure out what those snakes were doing:

“Male gopher snakes engage in ritualistic combats during the spring mating season. The combatants remain on the ground, entwined from tail to neck. Each tries to maintain its head and body position, although occasionally they will exert so much force that they roll. Hissing frequently, they rarely bite one another.”

It was fascinating to watch, very pretty too.

Thanks FJL.  I suspect she will have some kind of follow-up treatment with a great prognosis.

I need to clean the dishes, wouldn’t want Keith to wake up to a messy house on our anniversary.

Jane, yes, it does. I am very proud of you.

I did post one similar to that once; however I was told my snakes were mating.

Oh, my, Jane!  I stepped into another window on my computer to do some iPod maintenance and came back to your photo  :o

But, I also came back to the wonderful news about your friend's surgery.  And your mention that tomorrow is your wedding anniversary?

Went to Amoeba to trade stuff in and get my Ozu movies.  Well, they had two copies of each three days ago, and today they had one copy of one, which, to me, means that lurkers are reading my Ozu praises and they went to Amoeba and bought the DVDs.

I could actually swear Toby sometimes says the word "HUNGRY" in the morning.

Animals are rather amazing creatures. My mother's dog bangs the door of her kennel when her dish is empty.

I began the evening completing the first part of ELIZABETH I. No question that Helen Mirren will get an Emmy nomination for this, and I can't think of any other performances on TV-movies this season that could compare to her work.

Next, I did watch the rebroadcast of BONES tonight. Temperance and Booth were in LA and there was a hilarious interview with Penny Marshall and Temperance. Harry Groener was also a guest star.

Then, I watched the new version of SHAFT. Talented names in the cast: Vanessa Williams, Jeffrey Wright, Christian Bale, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Dan Hadeya, Lee Tergesen, Richard Roundtree (reprising his original role), Toni Colette.

Pretty standard cops and robbers stuff, but a guilty pleasure.

And then finished up the evening rewatching RIVER OF NO RETURN. Only got through Marilyn's first two songs and the shooting lesson with the rifle, so I'll finish it at some point tomorrow.

Have an invitation out for lunch again tomorrow, so that'll be three days in a row: highly unusual for me.

I actually have to watch Deceit in the morning, to decide where the chapter stops are.  I was hoping not to have to see it again until the check disc is ready, but, oh, well.

Had a little low-fat cottage cheese, but I'm still hungry, and since I've only eaten eggs, 2 tortillas (low-fat), and cottage cheese, I'm thinking a nice big salad from Jerry's will do me just fine - their house chopped salad (just veggies) with a little oil and red wine vinegar to dress it.  Low-cal and very filling.
