EQUILIBRIUM
« on: May 31, 2006, 12:06:08 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had eliquilibrium, which is more than I can say, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently looking up the word equilibrium.

Didn't Bob Dylan write a song about Quinn the Equinox (recorded by Manfred Mann).

Must admit I'm "pushing it" today!! I did consider He Quin ox but decided that would have been five times as bad.  "Ox on the run" was another Manfred Mann song.

I think I should read the notes of the day!

MMM the "Ox bow incident".  Was that about the best dressed animal at the County Fair and the wrongly awarded blue ribbon?

BK, I hope you don't have food poisoning.  I had a very light case a couple of weeks ago and, although it wasn't horrible, it wasn't pleasant. :P

Equinox was the original title of the play by Peter Shaffer, until he re-thought the subject matter and changed it to horses.

I had to drive into work yesterday and will have to do so again on Thursday so I won't be able to post on those days.

I hope your feeling much better BK by the time you read this.

It's so nice to see TCB posting again!   :)

Not much to report from my end as yet.  I never did get back to resize those pictures but I will attempt to do that tonight.

Ugh, this bus is COLD!  I'm very glad I have my light jacket with me.   It's pretty thin but better then nothing.

Good morning, all!  Anybody else having trouble accessing this site today?  At 6:50 am, I was told there were too many connections, I was back on by 7:06 and thrown off again around 7:10!

I'm off to Toyland till noon, then back here for a visit - sometime between 2 pm and 6 - with a cable repairman, since my computer's been misbehaving since Friday afternoon.

Since the equinox happens twice a year in March and September, I'm not thinking about it now.

At 7:25, I was thrown off the site again because of "too many connections"!  WHAT THE HELL????

Good morning, DR Danise!  If this site hasn't become the most popular site on the internet, it's maybe because there are TOO MANY CONNECTIONS!  Oy!

But I rant.  DR Danise, have a wonderful day!

I was unable to get to this place on the board for quite a while. I could see that Larry and Danise were here but I kept getting Too Many Connections. Perhaps the board is having equilibrium problems as well.

I cleared out my browser, closed down and reopened. I returned here and after a rather long time in Internet time, considering I have a high speed connection at work, I was deposited here only to find myself alone. Danise and Larry are both gone.

I will leave soon also since I have work to do.

No questions at the moment.

Well, my post actually made it. After I wrote it and clicked post it took forever and then I got the too many connections error and I thought I had lost it.

It seems better now.

This is what I'll forever think of when I read or hear the word EQUINOX:

I've never seen this movie, but I did become somewhat fascinated by it solely through this poster's appearance in Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine.

I wonder if it's on DVD?

Why, yes!  Yes, it is!  It's available at Amazon at $27.99 (or it will be available--it's being released on June 20.).  I had always thought this movie was a piece of schlock, but it's part of the Criterion Collection, so I guess it's artsy schlock.

Today is my mid-week day off.  I plan to hit the gym, vaccum up the cats' winter coats which are current spread throughout the apartment, and visit Rodzinski for lunch.  Tonight I'm meeting up with some friends for dinner at Chevy's followed by the movie Stick It.  We're calling it San Jose highschool date night.

I just allerpetted the cats, which consisted of rubbing them down with a damp cloth, followed by rubbing them down with a cloth dampened with allerpet product.  It's supposed to make them less allergenic, and I also thought it would be a good way of removing their dead fur before cleaning the house.

On a scale of one to ten, ten being "keep it coming" and one being "for the love of God lady, please just give us some peace" I'm guessing they would rate this process about a two.

I didn't get the "too many connections" notice -- the page simply wouldn't load.

My question for Ask BK Day:

Dear BK, with all that is going on in the world, why is Katie Couric a major news story?

Wednesday morning greetings!  It sure seems like Monday to me, this being my first work day of the week.  It's also the first Wednesday in over 2 years that I haven't worked the noon-9 shift, so I had to concentrate real hard on getting here at 9am!

DR Laura I agree with your sentiments but then I don't watch morning television. I listen to the radio (NPR and WQXR) but morning personalities are off my radar.
