And wowee...the same day that the Gods give us BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS on dvd, we will also get the my favorite Saturday morning tv series LANCELOT LINK: SECRET CHIMP!

This may very well spell the end of civiliztion to some...but it is a dream come true for me! LOL!

It may not only be the end of civilization but the end of your New York play money.

Fun lunch with friends and then a leisurely drive home. There is so much road construction going on around Charlotte that it's impossible to plan a route since it's almost a sure thing there will be a detour. I hit two of them on my way home from lunch.

I saw an entirely naked Maxwell Caulfield many moons ago in a play with Jessica Tandy and Elizabeth Wilson (neither of which whom got naked themselves.)

He was naked again in MY NIGHT WITH REG with Sam Trammel, also quite stark.

Rodzinski and I have another friend who will also be very happy about this.

Obviously, a friend who has very good taste!

Once I got in, I spent the entire afternoon with HUD. What a wonderful movie, and those performances! Every one of those actors deserved awards, and though TOM JONES was a much showier movie, I think HUD should have won Best Picture over it.

However, I haven't watched TOM JONES in awhile, so I should take it form the shelf and watch it at some point this week so I can do a more objective comparison. I'm operating with at least a five year old memory of TOM JONES.

Well, I suppose once you have actually met Brian D'Arcy James, he must have lost some of his allure.

Golly....was anyone hurt?  I was certain folks on the east coast were taught to go around the Detours...to "avoid" hitting them.

Have things changed?

There is a huge pot of turkey and corn chili simmering on the stove right now.  Since the rainy forcast is going to keep us away from Vermont this weekend, we've opted to stay home and eat instead. :)

I was debating making a batch of chocolate chip cookies, but I don't know if I'll have enough time before leaving to meet my friend for dinner.

I am listening and singing along to the Camp soundtrack right now.  Whenever I sing, Walty thinks that I am talking to him and comes over to stare at me.  At least he doesn't run away and hide.

You should probably have more then.  Your body is clearly communicating to you that it is in need of more pudding.

We have to seel 500 DVDs to break even - I need to figure out how to get them in specialty shops like Amoeba - Footlight will carry it, I think.  And Matt will sell them at fan events, too, and I suspect a lot will go at those venues.

BK, what about getting the DVD on Netflix??  I have no idea what it would take, but when you search Matt's and your names, there are results!  I'm sure that people would find it there.  Just a thought. :)

I've spent this morning cruising various job websites, looking for interesting job posting.  And at the Jewish Board website I was that they had just reposted the job I'd been interviewing for.  I'm guessing that it's gonna be a while before I hear back from them. :)

I have a friend, a recent college graduate, who works at http://www.jdc.org/

TOD: My friend used to say that food went straight to her liver if it gave her indigestion -- i.e. "That enchiada went straight to my liver."

I had a salad called "panzinetta" for lunch today -- mixed organic greens and romaine hearts (heavily) tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette with soft Tuscan bread croutons, olives, blue cheese crumbles and artichoke hearts.

The vinaigrette went straight to my liver!

I want one of those KFC Cholesterol Bowls that they have been advertising.  It would probably go straight to my hip, since the other one is fake.

Had a drive up to Cincinnati today, to seel some books at Half-price...mostly crap that didn't get culled from the library before I moved...two boxes for which I got a grand total of fourteen dollars, but Half-Price, before it became a nationwide chain of used bookstores, was my  used bookstore in Dallas when I lived there years ago...so it was like revisiting an old haunt.  The Cincy store isn't as extensive has the main one in Dallas, but I managed to pick up a few things.  Then I went down the street to a Trader Joe's, which is now a chain based in California, and where The Lovely Wife and I used to do much of our shopping.  They don't have a lot of favourites that the LA stores carry and their wines are a buck or two higher on average, but I still managed to walk out with  $200 dollars of groceries and booze.

Those who have AOL - why are a couple of people who always show up on my buddy list, not showing up on my buddy list?  I tried nuking them and putting them back but they're still not showing up.  One of them does show up on another screen name buddy list.  i don't get it.  I restarted the computer, everything, but these couple of people, who were always there (and who are always on line) aren't there.

Sounds like he has issues about keeping his clothes on. I bet he ran around the house buck naked as a kid
