Those who have AOL - why are a couple of people who always show up on my buddy list, not showing up on my buddy list?  I tried nuking them and putting them back but they're still not showing up.  One of them does show up on another screen name buddy list.  i don't get it.  I restarted the computer, everything, but these couple of people, who were always there (and who are always on line) aren't there.

They may have blocked themsleves from all AOL Buddy Lists.  You can go to set up and block yourself from being seen on anyone's Buddy List.

A friend has written me to catch me up on things in his life.

One comment about his mother:

"Roberta has taken to fainting and scaring everyone to death."

For some reason, this simply had me laughing loudly.  It's so "Southern Belle"....and he's assured me she's well, despite the fainting.

That comment had me laughing too.  Of course, I thought it said that Roberta had taken to farting and scaring everyone to death.

Sounds like he has issues about keeping his clothes on. I bet he ran around the house buck naked as a kid

Well, it certainly keeps the casting people interested.

That is the same thing that I was going to say. I'll bet this is what happened.

Also, re: what DR Elmore said about a soap opera store.  I'm not sure, but i'd think that ron raines (on Guiding Light) might sell his cds at the cbs store. Perhaps NBC has a similar store for their soaps.

Isn't Maxwell still Haley's brother-in-law?

Let's get together, yeah, yeah, yeah

I believe Mr. Caulfield was naked in three plays in New York:  Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Salonika and My Night With Reg.

But in My Night With Reg, it was Sam Trammel's nude scene that was very much "out there," if you get my drift.

LOL! Yes, he loved it.  He thought the art school stereotypes were right on target.

I'm actually going to try my hand at art. I'm going to take a drawing class and help Paul and Mark do their mural on the watertower again this year.  I'm really looking forward to that. It was such fun last year.

I've done a little painting and drawing in the past, but not much.  With an ex-husband who was an artist and best friends who are artists, I don't know why I haven't done more of it

It would be a waste of time for me to take a drawing class.  I have no artistic talent.  I can't even draw a straight line.

George HOW do you "double quote"?

You have to do it manually...TCB!  Calling Dr. TCB! :o ;)

I have a Windows-based PC, so if you have a Mac that doesn't have the left and right buttons, I don't know how that works.

Version 1:  If you want to quote two different posts one after the other, go to one of them, right click on the quote button and select "Open Link in New Window."  Then go back to your original browser, go to the other post and do the same thing (I always do this anyway so that my original browser stays at where I'm caught up to and I don't have to try and find where I left off after I post).  Anyway, go to the browser that has the first quoted post and highlight the whole thing (click in the Message box and hit control + a).  Copy this (control + c) and then go the to the other browser.  Put your cursor at the very top left corner and paste the other message (control + v) before the quoted post that you want to be second in your post.  Then type your response below that, just like normal.  It'll look like this:

So draw some curvy ones! :D

Don't you HATE when you are waitng for the phone to ring and it doesn't?

Version 2:  If you want to have a quote within a quote, when you paste the internal quote, just put your cursor inside the quote after the close bracket of the quote code:  you'll see:  "[ quote author=Cillaliz link=.....]" and then paste after this before the second comments start.  The code will look something like this:

[ quote author=Cillaliz link=.....] Cillaliz's message [ quote author=TCB link=.....]TCB's message[ /quote] [ /quote]
Your message here.

And end up looking like this:

Paul and I went to ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL this afternoon. We really enjoyed it.
Of course, Paul would enjoy it -- he has green hair!

Clear as mud?? ;D
