Howdy, folks!
Well, the interview yesterday was quite interesting and fun - and, of course, it was ALL ABOUT ME, which I tend to like a lot. BUT - it was apparently the preliminary interview. There will be a callback. OY. Anyway, they seemed to like me, and I liked them - but it was all underlings - secretaries, assistants to the Big People - except there was ONE music teacher there. When they finished their questions - all good questions and thought provoking - they asked if I had any for them.
First - what happened with the last Artistic Director??? Eyes darting around furtively, no one answering... finally, one woman said, "Well, she was a teacher, and she really wanted to go back to teaching..." which was the in the press release when she scrammed outa there...
then I asked the music teacher, "What's your instrument?" He said, "Percussion." I said, "Hey, Paul Gemignani is a percussionist!" He said, happily, "I know!" So that was a nice moment.
Kidz, I am fatally optimistic, just as a personality type - but, I gotta say, I think I aced that audition, and I feel like I OWN this gig!!!
AND, happy birthday to Mark!!!
