I seem to recall that it was someone on this site who turned me onto these Hindi and/or Bollywood flicks.   ;)  Must've been Y-O-U!   :-*

Good evening to dear Esteemed, creative, and pixie-like BK --

And a good evening to the DRs.  It has turned miserably hot and humid again here in Phx., and so the best intentions of getting a little tidying up work done around the outside of our house, seem to shrivel away in the intense temperatures.

DR Jane -- I have to tell you what a smile and chuckle I get every time I see your post appear with your picture.  That picture of you and (I assume) your husband, could be the poster shot for for surf movies, the Beachboys, and the California chamber of commerce........it is just great!

My adult children are amusing themselves by shouting "FISH!" at the cat. They are all easily amused.

Hahahaha! FISH! I love that.

Elmore, I like the photo of your dad. You do resemble him a bit, I think.

Cillaliz, I read the article - goldurned gun grabbers can't understand why someone "needs" all those guns... nobody questions stamp collectors. Or golfers. I'm so glad you got this case. The guy has NO criminal background, he IS licensed to carry in Florida, but OH MY GOSH - he has BOOKS!! Someone who actually READS is certainly a danger... lemme know how this shakes down.

Tomorrow at Marymoor Park in Redmond there is a big Balkan-Greek day bash with music and folk dance and stuff... of course I'll go. Friends of mine are playing - Balkanarama - the premiere Bulgarian/Balkan party band in these parts. Also a Bulgarian lady i know from Radost is teaching dance early in the day. Yahoo! What fun I shall have!

DR Laura -- Great!  Now all you have to do each time is guess when they are about to shout it, and then yell "What is it?" right before they shout.

Been reading the reviews of CURTAINS. Some people loved it other people loved it but said that work still needed to be down. But it looks like it has possibilities.

Interesting sidelight to CURTAINS:
One of the characters is Niki Harris who has worked with BK on several of his CDs!

Of those titles I have seen TAAL...I like Akshay Khanna a lot.

If you would like a good comedy I highly recommend HERA PHERI ( the sequel, PHIR HERA PHERI, just came out) and if you want a good drama I recommend MY BROTHER NIKHIL.

PAAP is another of my recent favorites.

Enjoyed the last hour or so of THE BOY FRIEND. The laserdisc contains an intermission. When I saw it at a theater, there was no intermission. Also, I believe I saw an edited release print of the film. I truly don't remember numbers like the Grecian sequence while things like "Safety in Numbers," "I Could Be Happy with You," and "A Room in Bloomsbury" were easily remembered.

Next came the Angela Lansbury Biography episode. I only got about 20 minutes watched. I'll watch it again tomorrow and edit for commercials so I can burn a copy of it for myself.

MONK had a touching episode tonight as Monk remembered his college days at his 25th reunion. The actor they got to play Monk as a college student was quite wonderful.

PSYCH had an episode with a lot of laughs, but the solution to the mystery happened in a flash, and I was confused by the rapidity of the denouement. Thankfully, after the final commercial break, the murder scenario was recapped and then became perfectly clear.

BTW, in last week's cable ratings, THE CLOSER was the highest rated scripted series on basic cable. MONK ranked second, and PSYCH was third.

As I predicted days ago, the LA critics, even the ones with qualms, are falling all over themselves to praise.  It's the LA way.

We both liked The Night Listener. Knowing it was inspired by true events makes it even creepier.

I am recording a bunch of Internet interviews with 3rd place American Idol competitor, Elliott Yasmin for an Internet buddy.  We usually trade The Manhattan Transfer stuff, but he's also a fan of Elliot.  He also can't record from the Internet, which I can, so I'm compiling all of these clips for him.  That's what I've been doing. :)
