Rodzinski's show went well last night (although I agree with MBarnum that the bar was loud at times).  It was awesome to see the group back together again after a more than 2 year absence from the scene.

On the job front, nothing definite to report yet.  Early Monday morning I thought I had things narrowed down to a single choice.  But then I got a rather interested phone call with a tempting offer.  I have another interview today and then once I have the details I can spend some time considering my options.  And because JetBlue is having a big sale, I may consider my options poolside in California.  We shall see.

Everyone keeps telling me that it is good to have options.  But I am feeling stressed out about making a decision.  And also I am terrible at trying to negotiate salary.

I remember that feeling well. It was both nice and totally unnerving when people used to tell me I could do anything I wanted to....gees that really narrows it down.....good luck with your decisions TPunk

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VIXMOM!!!!

Ah, the Theme from "A Summer Place" is still a favorite and never fails to transport me.

Frijoles Muerte sounds like soemthing I encountered on a menu once.  Not pretty. Not pretty at all.

Happiest of Birthdays to DR Vixmom!  I hope you and The Vixter have a lovely time seeing The Fantasticks on Sunday, and at the party afterwards at the home of DR FJL and Skip.  They are wonderful hosts.

And the word of the day is: ALEXIPHARMIC!
In his quest to find an ALEXIPHARMIC against the PIXIE CHARM, AL mixed an ECLAIR, HAM, PIX of his grandmother (in the nude, but tasteful), and sundry other ingredients in a flask, and set the flask out to ferment in the light of the full moon.  Sadly, the result did not remove his donkey ears, although they did change to a delicate shade of lilac.

It can be, if you omit the seasoning packet and add dried cherries or cranberries instead.

Hmm..since THE FANTASTICKS isn't over on Sunday until 5:45 and about half the party attendees are going to the matinee, should we move the start time of our Sunday Aug. 20 get-together to 6:00 (instead of the previously announced "5:00 with everyone being here at 5:30?"

Elmore, vixmom, and vixter are seeing THE FANTASTICKS, is that right?

Also expected at the get-together are Ben, Tom, Antonia, and possibly Jose.  Have I missed anyone?  (Any update on whether Jose is coming?)

Thank you all for the birthday wishes.  :-* Since my husband, daughter and my new employers have all forgotten and I have been feeling very sorry for myself I decided to sneak a quick visit to where I knew I would not be forgotten!

Fred... it is DR WFO who will be attending the Fantastiks with the Vixter & me and we are all looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!!

Options are good, TPunk!

And gosh it has been a long, long time since I have had a tempting offer over the telephone. But that is another story.

Today, I'm hosting 30 volunteer administrators for a brownbag lunch and a media panel.  Have to go set up the cupcakes!

Bye for now.

Good morning!

Overcast again with spotty rain. Still, it's clammy out and not pleasant. All the rain last night did not cool things down like it did last Saturday. It's just upped the humidity. Ugh!

Actually looking forward to seeing MR. BELVEDERE RINGS THE BELL this afternoon. It was the last in the series, and the one I've seen the least (and not for a couple of years the first and only time I saw it).
