Well, you've read the notes, the notes definitely had a theme or three, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're just finishing their frijoles muerte then they'll be right home.

I must say no posts since 10:15 is rather a revoltin' development and this is the worst case of WUSSBURGERING in our history and I'm just about done with it, frankly.  I will take strong measures - perhaps a quart or a pint - if this doesn't stop IMMEDIATELY.

ASK BK Question Day #1

You mentioned that you might be releasing other STAGE concerts, a rerelease of Joan Ryan's fab solo album and David Shire at the movies. I was wondering are these all still on track?

Ask BK Question Day #2

Is there any artwork yet for The Brain From Planet X?

Just read this:

Bruno Kirby died Monday in Los Angeles from complications related to leukemia. He was 57. Born Bruno Giovanni Quidaciolu in 1949 in New York City, he was the son of actor Bruce Kirby

Bruno's Brother John Kirby was in the First Nudie Musical

BK worked with Bruno Kirby on an episode of The Super.

He also acted under the names Bruce Kirby Jr and B. Kirby

Good morning, all!  I have an early jaunt to Toyland this morning, then perhaps another visit to the wilds of the NYPL Theatre Collection.

Dear Friend BK, I have no answer to your inquiry on Claibe Richardson interest in THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER.  I do know that Stephen Cole, Claibe's companion, and Claibe's family have been quite protective of the score, and I think the show is in great shape.  I look forward to seeing it in the Festival.

I heard from our DR Jose yesterday; he's having internet connection difficulties, but he hopes to have his own DSL line by the end of the week and to rejoin us.

I am using my NEW optical mouse.  It is very nice.  My ex brother in law bought it for me, but my former computer was not set up to use it.  I found it a couple of days ago, still in the box, and thought I would try it out on my Presario and voila!

DRs Danise and JRand55!  My, it's busy in the clubhouse this morning.  Where's our Tommy of Oz?

Here's the lnk to the NY Musical Theatre Festival:

http://www.nymf.org/index.php?module=ShowManager

If you go to "Select By Name," you'll find THE TRAGIC & HORRIBLE LIFE OF THE SINGING NUN and THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER info under "Full Productions - Invited Works."  You can listen to songs from both shows there.

If we do NOT have a full cast by Friday, we have to cancel the show, so we are looking.  I have mixed feelings about the whole thing.

I love community theatre in general, and I love Putnam County Playhouse specifically - but it sure would be nice to work with ACTORS now and then.  But as my friend Keith aka Bob Ewell said when I mentioned that last night...."Acting is over rated."

I loved all of those old albums on the Kapp label that were released in the Alexipharmic process.

It sounded like you were right there with Jane Morgan!

Hmm..since THE FANTASTICKS isn't over on Sunday until 5:45 and about half the party attendees are going to the matinee, should we move the start time of our Sunday Aug. 20 get-together to 6:00 (instead of the previously announced "5:00 with everyone being here at 5:30?"

Elmore, vixmom, and vixter are seeing THE FANTASTICKS, is that right?

Also expected at the get-together are Ben, Tom, Antonia, and possibly Jose.  Have I missed anyone?  (Any update on whether Jose is coming?)

6pm on Sunday is fine with Anthony and me. I think the list is complete. IIRC (if I recall correctly), Jose said he would try to make it, depending on if he was in the city on Sunday.
