Honey, I have socks older than you!

Only if they're made of non-biodegradable material!

I submitted a trivia guess.  I'm just  a little unsure about one aspect, but everything else fell into place, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

As Ron P will be hearing a  week from now (sort of), I hope I got it.

Hello, hello!  Wow, it's great here today. The air is cool and everyone in the neighborhood is mowing the grass.  My yard guy came this morning so I went out and pulled weeds while they mowed.  I'm cleaning the house with all the windows open - well most of the windows open - what a treat to have fresh air!

Let us know what you think of said DVD.

RE copyright image issues - happily, these early paperback cover images were never copyrighted, which is why you see them reproduced in book after book without credit.  I did as much searching as possible and while that cover is somewhat known among fans (it's from a 1950 Avon paperback), the artist is never credited, which means people don't know who it is (other frequently reprinted covers acknowledge the artists when they're known).  Avon paperbacks are out of business for many years and no one cares anyway.

Back from Farmer Joe's.

Fondlin' was kept to a minimum....mostly tomatoes.

It was too freaking COLD in there.  Outside, too.

What was I thinking wearing a Hawaiian shirt?  It's mid-August....and I'm considering a fire in my fireplace.

Well...I've got morning buns for the weekend -- regular and cinnamon.

And I'm preparing some coffee.  Perhaps my morning will truly kickoff once I'm properly sugared and caffeined up!

Ben and others coming for the get-together tomorrow at 6:  We should have a list downstairs at the desk of who's coming, so that the guard wouldn't have to call up.  But you will have to check in with the guard at the desk.

List as far as I know (in no particular order):

Ben and Anthony
Tom and Antonia
Larry
Debbie and Vicky
William F Orr

Any special drinking needs besides wine and soft drinks, anybody?  Just let us know.

DR FJL, I may be showing up with Andy Monroe, composer of THE TRAGIC & HORRIBLE LIFE OF THE SINGING NUN.  He's coming to the show with me, and his coming along to your shindig depends on how his music prep on the show is progressing.

I just sent a Priority Mail package to my publisher in LA.  It took five days to get there, with a delivery confirmation!  I have little good to say about the US Postal system.

In the 60s my neighbor Jean Tilton thought the song "Ferry Cross the Mersey" was "Very Customary" and the costume designer in the Miami University Theatre Dept. thought the Dylan song was "Mr Tangerine Man."

Last night, the lead-footed roofers knocked out the power momentarily, and then I had a dinner engagement, so  I never got to wish DR jhvw Happy Birthday.  So....

Larry - We'd love to have him, but could you let us know a couple of hours before whether he's coming?

Sheepish explanation:  We literally have just enough seating now, and if there's one extra tush we have to make allowances for it, involving a little heavy lifting.   :)

I will, if I can.  I may not know until I see him at the show.  If it's any help, I won't sit.

Larry - We'll take turns not sitting.  :)  Maybe vixmom will let you borrow her cell phone at intermission, though?

To whom is the customer talking?

And...about what?

To himself.....about the general state of things and how other stores have many more stones...

When wearing an Hawaiian shirt, one needs to fondle pinapples! Any Princess knows that! :D

I hate it when that happens!  I work the concessions for shows at the performing arts center here in Olympia and so many times people come up and get one thing that costs a dollar and pay with a $20 bill.  Don't they know that WE need the change??  There are times when we can't sell something to someone because we just don't have enough money to make change.  I secretly enjoy telling people that. ;)

Topic of the Day:  I can't remember the details, but a few years ago, someone was being interviewed on a news magazine-type show and, referring to someone else, he said, "He lay prostate on the ground."

And I thought, he did?? ;)

I haven't checked my mailbox, yet, but on my doorstep, there was a package from BroadwayNewYork.com!  I ordered the souvenier program to the original Broadway production of Chess.  It was a close-out sale and it was only 15¢!!  FIFTEEN CENTS!!  I also got the libretto to "Song of Singapore" (I love the cast recordings!), and keychains to "The Producers," "Spamalot" and "The Lion King."  All in all, a very good package to receive.

Now, I'm going to check my mail!  I'm not holding my breath, though.  My "Deceit" DVD came a few days later than the first people who got it. ::)
