Speaking of deer...my mother told me they stopped the car last night to avoid hitting a buck and he turned around and rammed into their car!  He's getting even with the wrong people, we feed the deer, we don't shoot them

Good evening, fellow Dear Readers. Another board meeting today. Only four hours -- we're improving!

I am traveling later this week, and there's a good chance they'll bump people. Maybe I'll get my trip for free!

I'm now sitting at a table with 6 members of the U of Arkansas golf team. I asked if they were on the same team or if they all just dress alike and they said they are on the golf team. I asked if they won and one of them said "No, maam, we came in 7th, we played really bad"

So then what do you say
"Ouch!" often works.

I really don't mind getting bumped on the way home.  I figure if I volunteer when I have time, then maybe someone else will volunteer when I don't and I won't involuntarily get bumped. This is the third time I've done it, the second since July!

Well, think I'll wander down to my concourse. There aren't may outlets there, but my computer should be charged by now so I may log on when I get there

Jrand is busy gathering his thoughts, which are strewn about like a gazelle in a g-string.  Will he be the first to post an amazon review?

Yes he will

Thanks Cillaliz, that new avatar is from last summer on the boat at Triangle Lake.

For some reason the photo looks squished.

Thanks Ginny, JRand56, Matt H., Ann and Jane for the comments about the photos.  Next time (there will always be a next time ;)), I'll make sure I borrow (or buy, by that time) a real camera so that the pictures turn out much better. ::)

DR ELMORE - there are a LOT of stories about HP.....the board has been in HOT HOT HOT water for over a month over some nefarious telephone business - the board leader was fired last week and now may go to jail in the mess.  She says the men did it, it's because she's a woman (same story that bee-yatch Fiore used when she had her A$$ canned from HP last year....do a search on HP Board and telephone and ALL the news will come up, I bet.

Both of my aunts (my dad's sisters) always volunteer to get bumped.  They love getting the offers whenever they can. ;D

Wow!  I didn't know about any of this.  No wonder David Packard's not responding to my emails for the past couple of months!

If you persnickety people haven't read Jrand's beautifully written amazon review, then you owe it to persnickety selves to do so immediately.  I couldn't have done it better if I'd written it myself.

Certainly I'd buy the book based on that review.  Perhaps that will motivate certain types around these here parts.

Jrand, interestingly it is only showing up on the softcover page - why don't you cut and paste it into the hardcover as well, as amazon is just too stupidly screwy these days to assume they'll fix it.
