I will never forget her lovely Daphne...tooling around Miami in her Pontiac convertibles and stopping to wave at Troy and Van and Lee.  ;D

What is the worst experience?

My question is: What *is* Ray Courts? Or, *who* is Ray Courts?

I've had some very nice people say very nice things, and a couple even came to the show specifically because I was there.  The worst was a show about two years ago - just a disasterously attended show and we just sat there like so much fish.  Then there's Tiffany's stalker - that was fun.  But, I just go to have fun - whether I'm visiting or I'm doing the show.  Oh, and when I gave Hayley Mills Kritzer Time and she kissed me.  THAT was great.

Back from a nice jog.  It's beautiful today, sunny but only about seventy-five degrees.

I have an odd craving for a pastrami sandwich - don't know why, since before Togo's came on the scene I never had had a pastrami sandwich.  I may go to Art's and have one - I've still never actually had one at a real deli.  I've always been a corned beef sort of Jew.

After meeting at Pioneer square we headed back to the hotel and to my car, making a delicious pitstop at See's Candy, and drove haphazardly to DR JMK's (the crew will attest that I cannot drive and chat at the same time...well I can, but I tend to get lost).

I don't love any olives except normal black ones.

We shot part of S&V in Sacco's hometown of Puglia, near the heel of the boot in Italy. It's a large olive growing region (Sacco's family had a prosperous olive oil buiness) and the mayor and various officials took us to lunch while we were there. (It's a VERY small town with one hotel so we were the excitment of the week.)

Everyone brought their own olive oil with them to lunch as well as olives so we had to sample them all. I have never had fresh olives before...some of them were huge---the size of eggs and it took a few bites to finish one. Mmmmmmm....
I hope some festival invites us to show it there!

MR BK - if you search your name in items & descriptions, you have 125 items on EBAY with your impritur on them.

The Gerald Fried 2CD set that includes your written essay looks particularly interesting.

How did that come about?  I don't remember any story about the CD, although I remember your mentions of I BURY THE LIVING....

Come on, BK, as far as worst-looking celebs...John Agar and poor Stanley Kramer both looked liked the walking dead...which, of  course, they were not long after.  I always thought Vincent Sherman always looked very dapper and fit and that was when he was in his nineties.

Well, deja vu all over again!  The news just announced that a small plane crashed into the 8th-10th floor of a building at 71st Street and York Avenue.  It looks like 9/11.

There's no news yet on damage or fatalities.  The PHI office, before we moved in 2003, was at 72nd Street and York overlooking the East River.  After 9/11, I worried about such things, especially since I was 20+ floors up and the only way out was a jump off the balcony to a roof about 10 floors below,

I got halfway through the third chapter of "Dirty Book" and then had to drive into town to stomp out an emergency. I was so annoyed! It's my favorite story so far and the first where I couldn't wait to see how it ended! I think it would make a great adaptation into a short film. Who's with me? Let's put on a show! (I have a barn...)

The news has updated the information:  the building struck was the building I worked in and a helicopter crashed into a higher floor:  39th or 40th The building was a residence for a lot of United Nations people, so I'm wondering what's going on!

Hopefully, nothing.

After you posted, we turned on the news here and they said it was at 72nd and I wondered if it was your building. I hope everyone is going to be OK...

No one seems to be certain what floors are affected.  I just heard 31-32, then 39.  Beats me!
