Although that might not be a bad thing???????

Dear DR FJL -

Picking on scabs may or may not be disgusting, depending on what you think of unions.

Just a thought that came to me while catching up.   ::)

I was going to post a link to the annual Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival's schedule, but it's a pdf file and jammed up our computer, so I think posting a link would be rude.

But the festival is going on this weekend.

So much for living in a podunk backwater.   :o

Happy Anniversary to us all!!

TOD: I have about a half dozen cds in the office; I'll have to see what kind of mood I'm in when I get there. I need to see what things I need to undo since I was there last week.

Friday morning greetings!  Today's the second of my five days off and it's been quite odd already.

Yesterday, I visited my doctor for a flu shot and he ordered some routine fasting blood testing, which I planned to do this morning and then meet a friend for breakfast.  The rest of the day yesterday I spent winding down after a very hectic several weeks and by 9:30pm could hardly stay awake, so I went to bed.  The phone woke me about 10:45 - my mother-in-law's neighbor telling me MiL was sick and what should she do?  Well, Richard is still in Wisconsin and I'm quite hesitant to assume responsibility for his mother, so I called his older brother and his daughter and they met the ambulance at the hospital.

Grandma was admitted about 5am; I was there by 7:30, stayed until the doctor came and left, then I went downstairs to have my test, and am now home tanking up on coffee.  Our doctor seems to think MiL's problem is not life-threatening, which is good, but she'll be in the hospital for a few days.  In the meantime, my friend called to cancel our breakfast date, because she'd had something come up.

My mother and I have plans this afternoon to do some errands and attend the grand opening of a new Graeter's ice cream shop.

Happiest of anniversaries to HHW!

TOD - I hit the DVD jackpot yesterday at our local public library:

Shopgirl
Kinsey
Brokeback Mountain
High School Musical
Little Manhattan
Mrs. Henderson Presents

After my Legally Blonde double feature from Netflix, I watched Little Manhattan before crashing last night.

Any Poliakoff fans out there?

YES! Berné Poliakoff---she's one of my best friends!

I think many DR's would love their band, Cowboy Envy. They are a female trio who sings Songs of the Pioneers songs in tight harmony, a la The Andrews Sisters.

http://www.cowboyenvy.com/

You can check out a one hour performance at the Kennedy Center (with a rough mix that gets better as the show goes on. The camera person discovers the zoom and pan function in the middle of the 2nd song.). Berné is "Frenchy" because her regular job is singing in a French Restaurant.

Enjoy!

Well, have a happy anniversary, everyone.  I'm off to work, and switching the computer over to der B, who is currently feeding the birds (channelling Jane Darwell, of course).

Is there anyone here who watches SURVIVOR?  Interesting turn of events last night.

I'm curious if anyone does, who their favorite player is.

Mine is ozzy. He is a fish. He is sweet. He gets food, he is a monkey. He wins challenges practically single handedly. I love him!

Oh and for TAR. I'm also curious who everyone wants to win.

I would like the beauty queens.  But i also like the model/drug addicts and the chow brothers.

I suspect DR MBarnum will hate the yelling couple. And somehow i bet his favorites are the moms or the chow brothers!

It is gone for good from Thursday nights. MEN IN TREES moves into this time slot the last Thursday of November.

ABC said SIX DEGREES will return in January to play out its already filmed episodes, but often things like this are announced, and then the show never returns, or returns for one episode and then is gone.

MEN IN TREES and STUDIO 60 got renewals for the entire season. I meant to post this news yesterday, but I kept forgetting to do so. I kept forgetting to do a lot of things yesterday, it seems.

Yes, I read about the new cast album for WHITE CHRISTMAS and want to get it, too. I'll probably include it with my Amazon order this week.

Hello all!

Gee, HHW's anniversary is the same day as my Mom's birthday--two reasons to celebrate!   ;D

Poor Mom didn't get a very good Birthday present.  She fell last Friday and broke a rib.  We spent hours at the hospital and I've been frantic with worry about her.

We go back to the doctor today.   A new doctor, I might add.  I duked it out with Humana and had her changed to a new center.

I hope that everyone here is doing well.  I've missed you.

Thank you ever so much for the lovely photo CD's DR TomovOz!  I have to ask what kind of camera did you use?  The pictures are wonderful!

I am going to use some of them as screen savers.
